The Firebird Travels
It was a spur of the moment decision. Some of us had tests the next week,
some of us had projects to finish, some of us had to be at work the
following Monday. But on Friday, April 19, at 8:00 p.m., I told my
roommate Shionell this:
"Let's go." At 8:30, we were on our way to Georgia, and to one of the
wildest weekend parties in the universe: Freaknik '96.

We actually ended up spending the
night in Athens,
GA, at the University of Georgia at
Athens. The total weekend trip
(including going back and forth from Athens to Atlanta and being caught up
in Freaknik traffic) was 980 miles. Total miles for the week of 4-19 to
4-26 was 1,368 miles, and total miles overall up to 4-26 was 124,654.
