Deadbaits
As you will have already noticed we like to keep our pike fishing simple. The first priority is to be out there fishing.Second priority is to fish somewhere you have a good chance of catching pike(this sounds obvious but you'd be surprised!).Being ready to be able to handle pike on the bank is important.Your bait really is not that relevant in our opinion,as long as its fresh has a good fishy smell it will catch. There are exceptions to every rule. Some fish baits work much better in some locations than others,I've no idea why..
All the baits below have caught countless pike for us.We often inject fish oils into our deadbaits, but must stress the use of needles is hazardous at the best of times let alone with cold hands, care must be taken at all times.
Any fishmonger will supply the required fish and if you say it's for pike fishing you often get surprising bargains thrown in..
