Benson, New Zealand's only dual Champion Specialty Best in Show Whippet, is our soul mate!  A dependable and sound dog with elegance and style.  Among his many conformation wins he was Best of Breed and Reserve Best of Group at New Zealand's premier all breed National Dog Show.  His racing career has been equally spectacular and he has won the racing challenge for five consecutive years - every year he was eligible - and is the only Whippet in New Zealand to do so! Benson was born in 1994 and is now retired from racing.  As a Veteran he won both "C" class racing CC and Best Veteran!  All of these achievements have shown what a very special Whippet he is, but one of his biggest achievements in our eyes was his  participation in School visits, where he met and greeted all the children, teaching each and every one all about Whippets!  He is a great ambassador for the breed and has excelled in all his endeavors.  We are very proud of our special friend!
