More Then That

“I’m nervous Nick!” I whispered up to him, gripping his hand. “I’ve never been to a dance club.

“That’s why I brought you. They’re fun! Just hope me and B don’t cause a scene. That would not be fun.” He complained.

Slowly we walked out onto the dance floor. I just stood there for a moment, unsure of how to dance with the upbeat music. Plus, I didn’t want to make a fool of myself. I glanced over and Brian and Lieghanne. Brian was holding her tight against him as they danced.

“Nick, what do I do?” I shrieked.

“Just let me lead you!” he smiled. He put one hand in the middle of my back and pulled me against his chest. With his other hand he used it to dance. Finally I got the hang of it as our bodies moved together.

“Oh, thank goodness! A slow song!” I gasped falling against Nick.

“Not tired, are we?” He teased.

“I’m not used to this. I don’t do concert after concert that needs this kind of energy.” I laughed kissing his neck.

“What are you doing?” he whispered holding me tight in his arms.

“I dunno.” We both laughed.

Before long another fast song started up and we started to dance again. After about an hour or so, Nick led me over to a table.

“Wait here. I’m gonna go get us some coke. Okay?”

“Yeah, sounds good! Trust me, I won’t move.” Nick smiled at my response as he walked off. Once again I got nervous. I looked across the room and noticed someone starring at me. He walked over towards me and soon joined me at my table.

“Hi!” he chipperly said.

“Uh...hey.” I gulped looking around for Nick.

“Are you here alone?” He flirted leaning towards me.

“Ummm...umm.”

“Good! I’m glad. Do you wanna dan.....”

“Here, Anne.” Nick said handing the glass to me. A look of shock crossed the stranger’s face as I walked off. “Who was that?”

“I dunno. But he sure was making me nervous. Didn’t he look around 30 to you?”

“Yeah! No one else is supposed to notice you! You’re all mine and I’m not sharing with anyone!” he smiled kissing me.

“Good. I don’t wanna be shared. I’m perfectly happy where I am.”

Through the rest of the night, we either danced or took a breather. I never realized how much energy it took to dance a short period of time. I had so much fun, so much more then I thought I would. My parents had always told me dance clubs were too wild for a young lady. In a way I agreed with them. But if you had the right guy with you, it was one of the most fun things to do. Although Nick could make anything fun. It was a special talent he possessed.

Luckily no more guys tried to intrude. But it was funny listening to Nick mumble about how guys better not even look at me or they would have to answer to his fist. I told him that he needed to calm down. Finally he did.

“Oh gosh! What a night!” I exclaimed falling on Nick’s bed. I had moved in earlier that day.

“I know.” He replied laying beside me. I pulled him next to me as he wrapped his arms around me. Before either of us realized it, we were both sound asleep, still in our sweaty dance clothes.

“So sis! Where are we going today?” Brian asked as he picked me up the next day.

“I don’t know. No dancing though. I got enough of that last night!” I groaned leaning against my seat.

“Hanging around the mall sound okay?”

“Yeah. I’m up for anything. Are you up for a possible mob?” I teased.

“Not really. But I have a body guard who is already waiting for us at the mall.” He informed. “We’re here!”

“Yeah! Let’s go!” I yelled scrambling around like an excited child. Me and Brian linked arms and prepared to take on the mall.

We stopped in so many stores I can’t remember. Today really wasn’t a day to buy things...it was just to have fun. Which is what we did. I never knew how wild Brian could actually be.

“Oh Brian! Buy me this Cd, please!” I begged holding up N Sync’s new album.

“I hope you’re kidding, right?” He laughed raising his eye brows.

“No.” I sulked.

“Oh, alright!” he groaned reaching for his wallet.

“Gotcha!” I smiled.

“You’re dead!”

“No I’m not. I’m breathing perfectly fine.” I corrected.

He just laughed as I put the truly hated CD back in it’d rightful position. On the shelf.
