The Call

“Did you and Nick get in a fight last night over the phone?” Brittney asked concerned as she brushed her beautiful hair.

“I wasn’t really a fight,” Ashley replied looking at her watch. “It was a little scuffle. But hurry.”

“Alright! I’m ready!” Brittney exclaimed as she put down her hairbrush. “Let’s go!”

“Why are you so primpy and excited.” Lee asked as they left the house.

“I don’t know. It’s just every time I see Aaron is more special now, because he’ll be leaving soon and hopefully I’ll have to go to work soon too.”

“Do you think you’ll get the job in that movie?”

“I sure hope so. I mean, I don’t want to leave my life here, but I love acting. I really do.”

“I know you do. I hope you make it. It would be a wonderful experience for you.”

“Yea. If I don’t make it know I don’t know that I’ll get another chance.”

“We’ll both miss our boyfriends. I mean, I’m going off to college soon. I just wish it could stay like this forever.”

Brittney sighed. She really did wish it could stay like this forever. She knew agter she went off it would never be the same. She would be famous too, she didn’t know what that would do to their relationship, but she didn’t figure it would be good especially if she was a big hit, then she knew their relationship would be on the spotlight. People like her and her friends used to be would be trying to find out every detail and then there would be others that would be trying to break them up. They could be victims of Hollywood. That scared her.

Lee wanted to be with Nick forever. She loved him, but they’d been fighting a lot recently. It wasn’t anything that could not be worked out, but it still bothered her. She would do anything to make everything all right again and she hoped that it would be eventually.

They both loved their life and boyfriends like they were, but they both knew that these wonderful times wouldn’t stay for long. It was all a matter of what would change and who would break up and if they could ever be okay again.
