"So you're going to a party with Nick?" Brittney asked. "What about me and Aaron?"
"I don't know," Lee said exasperatedly as she worked on curling her hair. "You'll have to call him or something."
"I don't have his phone number," Brittney whined.
"You don't have your boyfriends phone number?"
Brittney shook her head.
"Go get something to write it down on and I'll tell you."
"Brittney ran into her room, rummaged around and came back. "Okay."
Ashley gave it to her.
"Thanks," Brittney replied as she went to put the number up.
Lee hurried to finish her hair and put on her make-up. As she was putting on her shoes Brittney came back into her room.
"Next time you do something with Nick, you'll let me do something with Aaron won't you?"
"Yes," Lee replied laughing. "You really want to see him again don't you?''
"Yea. I just like being with him. I mean, if you and Nick are doing something, I don't see why Aaron and I can't tag along."
"Next time you can come," Lee laughed! "This time it's just because we are going and doing something with the BSB."
"Oh," Brittney said. "You look really good in that shirt."
"Thanks," Lee said checking herself in the mirror. "I always thought this colour looked good on me."
Ding, dong!
"There's the doorbell!" Lee exclaimed. "Wish me luck!"
"Good luck. Wait! Why do I need to wish you good luck??"
"That the rest of the BSB and their wives and their girlfriends will like me!" Lee exclaimed as she left Brittney standing alone in her room.
Lee walked calmly into the living room where she found Nick talking to her mother.
"Yes, Mrs. Jones," Nick was saying.
"Now Lee," her mother said when she came out. "Remember I want you home by One o'clock."
"Yes, ma-am." Lee walked over to her date smiling.
He obviously thought the shirt looked good too. "You look beautiful," he whispered to her.
"Thanks," she smiled.
"Have fun!" Her mother told them as they walked out the door.
"Bye mom," Lee called back to her.
Nick gentlemanly held the door open for her and then shut it after her. "Your mom is so sweet." He said getting in. "And you look so much alike."
"Everybody says that!" Ashley laughed.
"Well, it's true. Only you're prettier."
"I'm also younger."
"True. Still, you do look amazing in that shirt."
"Do I look better than the other Ashley Smith?" She teased.
"Defiantly. Don't you always??"
"I didn't figure you'd think so."
"Oh shut-up!"
She just giggled.
"You mean they're together and didn't bring us?" Aaron asked Brittney when she called him that night.
"Yep," Brittney replied.
"I know Nick was going off to a party, but I had no idea that he was taking your sister. I know he's on the phone with her all the time."
"I know! They are, until like midnight every night."
"I didn't know they stayed on that late. I'm usually asleep."
"I am most of the time too, but I'll wake up and hear her being still on the phone"
"By the way, how's that guy that was hitting on you doing?"
"He still bugs me, telling me we should go out every once in a while."
"Do I need to come beat him up?"
"No," she giggled. "I don't want any of your fans coming after me because you got a black eye from beating up somebody for me. Besides, I don't think a black eye would help your looks."
"We;re almost there," Nick reassured Lee.
"Okay," She replied. "It's too quite in here, let's turn on some music." She turned the radio on and some BSB music came blaring out of the speakers. "No!" she screamed. "We can't listen to that! It's you! Ugh!" She quickly turned it back off.
Nick reached back over and turned it back on and cranked the volume up. "I like listening to myself."
"No!!" She screamed covering her ears "I don't want to listen to you!" She reached over and turned it back off.
He turned it on.
She turned it off.
He turned it on.
She turned it off. "You'd better pay attention to the road. We don't need to crash because we were arguing about music. You just let me control the radio and we'll be just fine."
"No. You just let me control the radio and we'll be just fine."
"But you're driving."
"So? I can do two things at once."
"Wow! You can?"
"I can and will control the radio," he said turning it back on.
She turned it off. "I think I should control it."
"No. You shouldn't."
"Yes, I should."
"No!"
"Yes!"
"No!"
"Yes!"
"It's my car."
"So?"
"I'm driving."
"So?"
"So I should get my way."
"No," she shook her head.
"I really don't want to argue with you..."
"Then let's do it my way!"
"No! My way."
"I don't want to have this argument again. We just had it two minutes ago."
"Fine then. We have to settle it," He decided.
"How?" She questioned.
"Paper, rock, sissors," he replied pulling over to the side of the road. "If I win we get to listen to whatever you want."
"The Christian radio station."
"Whatever." He turned around to face her.
"I wonder who this 'Ashley Smith' person that Nick's bringing is." A.J said to his girlfriend, Amanda, as they finished straightening up the house for the party.
"Who knows." She replied, "but does it matter? As long as they like each other."
"From what I said I think he's crazy about her."
"Is she like a crazy fan who is going to scream over you?"
"Actually she doesn't like the BSB."
"She doesn't. That poor girl doesn't have any taste!" Amanda exclaimed.
"No!!" Lee protested.
"I won." Fair and square," Nick smiled as he put in a CD. The BSB came blaring over the speakers.
Lee covered her ears with her hands and sat there pouting. "Oh!! It's torture! You're cruel!!"
Nick turned it down. "It's not really all that bad is it?" "Oh! It's awful. Turn it off. Please." She begged pathetically.
"Stop sounding like your enemy."
That shut her up.
"Oh Lee," Nick sighed. "Stop being silly."
"I'm not being silly."
"I can't turn it off. Not after you've insulted my voice like you have."
"But...but I...but..."
