DEC BENNETT
Been and gone...Declan Bennett.
Dec was spotted by Ollie and Brett on "This Morning" and was soon asked to join the band. He's born on 20th March 1981 and is 5ft 10" which is way waaaaaay too tall for a 20 year old! He is originally from Coventry and has 1 brother.
I'm sure we all know Dec was very talented...as well as an amazing voice he played the guitar, piano and flute.
Now...I know we all remember Dec for his wild hair, which eventually settled down at the release of their 4th single "You", and I'm sure you wondered how it grew at such an amazingly fast rate between "Stand Tough" and "Freakytime", well that is because they were......(drumroll)......HAIR EXTENSIONS!!! (obviously!)
Dec decided to leave the band late last year because "fame was not for him..."
JON NEWMAN
Been and gone...Jon Newman.
Many many years ago...when Point Break hadn't even begun, EVEN before Dec had ever been heard of in the world of Point Break, there was Jon! He was only in the band for a few months and had to leave due to an eating disorder.
You may recognise Jon from CBBC drama "Grange Hill". He recently joined the cast and now plays the all bad, all lovable "Ozzie"!Hopefully these will be the only two to leave the band....lets hope this page stays as empty as possible, or we'll have to start a "who will be next..." poll! hey...now thats an idea...
