Chapter One

				
Friday April 22, 2000

Stacy’s sleep over b-day party. 

“Hey gals come in.” Stacy invited her friends in.  Tonight was her 18th birthday and instead of
having a huge party she decided to invite her closest friends for a sleep over.

Kristina, Cristina, Laurel, Mouse, and Lisa all walked in holding duffel bags and a present.  “Hey
Stacy Happy Birthday” all her friends were giving her presents and hugs. “Tonight is going to be a
blast. “ said Lisa. “What movies did you pick out. “ Kristina asked. “Um let me see.. Scream 3, The
Haunting, and The Blair Witch Project. “ Stacy read off.

“Good choices.” Laurel exclaimed.  “The pizza should be here any minute.” At that moment there
was a knock at the door. “I’ll get it.” Stacy ran to the door with the money incase it was the pizza.
She looked in the peep hole and sure enough it was the pizza. She opened the door and gave the
guy the money and she took the pizza.

“Food!” Cristina was the first one to grab the pizza and start eating. “Geez Cristina save some for
us.” Mouse yelled as she was setting her stuff down. They all sat down and started chomping away
at the pizza.

“We are going to sleep in the living room cause my parents took my brothers to Disney  for the
weekend.” “We have the whole house to ourselves.”  

Stacy stood up and turned on the radio. Larger than Life came on and everyone except for Kristina
was happy with the song. “Hey it’s my birthday tonight and It won’t kill ya to listen to them Bones.”
“Every time you give me a ride all you play is DMX, now it’s your turn to be tortured!” “I know I
guess I asked for it.” Kristina agreed and did not complain about the music.

For the next hour or so they listened to music and around 8pm they decided to open presents and
have cake. 

First Stacy opened Kristina’s present. “Thanks Bones just what I wanted the new Pink CD” “Your
welcome” Then Stacy opened Lisa’s present “Jessica Simpson, thanks I wanted this one too” “I
know thats why I got it for ya” Next she opened Mouse’s it was a BSB folder, BSB address book,
and a BSB note book. “Thanks Mouse! You know I love it!” “No prob it wasn’t very hard to figure
out what to get ya!” The all laughed and Stacy blushed. Next she opened Cristina’s present it was
a gift certificate to Camelot Music and Laurel gave some stuff from Bath and Body Works.

“Thanks guys I love all of the presents”. Stacy set the presents aside and they threw the trash
away. The phone rung and Mouse got up and got it.  

“Who is it?” Yelled Stacy.  

Mouse handed her the phone and said, “ I dunno some guy.”  “Ooh a guy, are you seeing
someone Stacy that you haven’t told us about?” Kristina joked.  

“Hello?” Stacy asked. 

“Hey what’s up girl, Happy Birthday” the guy exclaimed 

“Nick?” 

 “Yep the one and only”  

“Oh hey hi, uh thanks”  

“So what is the birthday girl doing for her birthday?” 

“Nothing much, just invited a few friends for a sleep over”

“That’s it, what about your parents”

“They took the boys to Disney for the weekend”

“So you have the house to yourself?”

“Yeah, you catch on quick”

“Shut up”

“I’m just playing”

“I know”

“So”

“So”

“Well I wanted to ask you something” Nick paused, not sure of how to say it.

“Yeah”

“Well I wanted to know if you wanted to come and visit me for a week or so up in 
Tampa”

“What?, Visit you well..”

“Come on it’ll be fun and you could bring Mouse.”

“I don’t know I haven’t seen you in six years and..”

“I’ve wanted to see you for a long time but I’ve been kinda busy with the band and all” “We 
could catch up like the old days”  “When is spring break?”

“Next week, but..”

“That’s perfect I could pick you up at the airport on Sunday and you could stay with me!”

Stacy was speechless, Nick Carter, her friend that she hasn’t seen in six years, well I’ve seen
 him on magazines and on TV and stuff, was asking her to visit him.

“Stacy?”

“Yeah I’m here”

“So what do ya say?”
