EDU 6522 –
Multimedia for Learning Fall Semester, 2004 Professor: Robert Siegfried, Ph.D. Assignment 1: A Recipe – This assignment required students to use analog still images taken from a 35mm camera to produce a digital movie with narration and audio soundtrack.
Assignment 2: A Life Story – This assignment required students to interview a senior citizen and make a 3-5 minute digital movie about a specific recollection from their childhood.
Assignment 3: A Collection of Life Stories – This assignment required students to work collaboratively to produce a coherent collection of Life Stories that are stored and distributed on CD, and accessible in both Mac & Windows OS. Our group selected PowerPoint as the program to showcase our videos. Additional requirements call for a lesson plan which addresses Pennsylvania Academic Standards. Assignment 4: Five Major Challenges to Editing Video – Each team member is required to report on a major challenge that they faced when editing video for the Life Story project, and how they solved the problem. Our group decided to use PowerPoint to include all five major challenges into a coherent collection.
Assignment 5: Appraisal of 3 Web-based tutorials – This was an individual assignment for students to select three Web-based multimedia tutorials to appraise.
