Lemme tell you a li'l bit about me... I am 28, married to Larry with 2 children, and teach Sunday School at First Baptist Church in Visalia, CA, the gateway to the Sequoias. I love the Lord, my husband, my children, beads (hence, the name) and making unique handcrafted items of all sorts. I am a second semester Nursing student (RN), just a year and a half until I am finished and can really help folks. Bible Goodies The Beattitudes Don't Worry

Bible study, I mean, daily, methodical Bible study is vital to your walk with the Lord.
Please, don't ever neglect your studies because you think that you are too busy.
15 minutes a day does not seem like a long time, but it is
absolutely vital to refresh yourself daily with the word.
With all of the darkness that surrounds us in this world, a little light goes a long way.

At one point in my life, I had quite a bit of free time at a new job. I read the bible for about 4 hours a day, and it took about 2 weeks to get through it. Even though I was just reading, and not really "studying" I could not stand to watch television when I went home--even the broadcast stuff. The reading sloughed off the hard callouses that daily exposure have built up over my life. When I do not get into the Word every day, even just a little, those callouses start building up and I start to become blind and numb to what is out there polluting my mind.

I use the inductive method of Bible study. Using this method, you discover for yourself, (with the Holy Spirit's help of course) what passages mean, and how they relate to the rest of the Bible. "How to Study your Bible" by Kay Arthur is a very good resource to learn this method.

Don't forget to pray before you read.
