We are looking for cooperators who are interested in developing their shallow spring fed water systems. We are also looking for cooperators with abandoned water wells for reclamation. If interested in this study please contact me at the M.D. office.
Pests:
We have been spraying ditches for grasshoppers and will continue to monitor the roadsides and spray when necessary.
It is important to keep a close eye on grasshoppers, beet web worms and diamond back moths in your crops.
Weeds:
The ASB crew has been scouting and spraying for weeds in the M.D. If you happen to see any toad flax, absinth or any other noxText Box: ious weeds in your area please inform us so we can keep these weeds under control.
Programs:
There is a new water program available as well as a grasshopper program. Forms for these programs can be found on the Alberta Agriculture Ropin’ the web, website @ www.agric.gov.ab.ca If you do not have access to the Internet or if you have questions about these programs feel free to contact the staff at the M.D. office. We will be happy to help you!

Text Box: 22nd. The SeCan Variety plot is doing quite well and was out of the ground 6 days after being seeded. With the moisture Provost has had this spring everything is looking better.
Text Box: There has been a fair amount of moisture at this site that has helped to get the varieties out of the ground. A total of 2.1 inches of Rain and an inch of snow has fallen in May and 2.8 inches fell in June.
The Silage Variety Plot was seeded on  May 28th . On May 28th Chinook Applied Research Center seeded their pea variety plot.
