And it pierced through Conan's heart. Andy attacked Max and knocked him unconscious. But it was too late, Conan was dead. Blood gushed our of the deep wound Max had left. Conan's eyes were still open, but there was no life left in his blue eyes, he was gone. Andy knew this but he wouldn't let himself believe it.
"Conan! Conan! Get up! Oh, God, please…" he began to sob. He sat there, sobbing, for a long time, thinking of good memories. Then he realized that Max was still alive, while his best friend was dead, anger filled him. He turned to Max and yelled, "No! Damn you! You killed Conan! Why?!" Andy was about to plunge the knife into Max's heart as he had to Conan, "No, he has a family, I couldn't hurt his family too…"He dropped the knife. He also remembered that Max used to be his friend, and he wouldn't sink to Max's level of killing a friend. He looked down to see Conan laying there, dead. He couldn't take it, he started bawling. Soon he fell asleep, his best friend laying dead in his lap.
An intern found them the next morning, and called the police. Max was taken to jail, the reports said he was drunk. He was given life in prison. Conan was taken to the morgue, he had died instantly, with little pain. Thousands of fans attended his funeral. The church was packed, people were standing in the back, and the aisle. All the fans were sobbing. Andy was bothered by the press all day. He stayed in his house for a week. NBC offered Andy the job to host, but he declined. Conan re-runs were shown instead. Andy got a job writing for another show. He went on with his life, as the rest of the staff. The people most effected were his fans, they would remember forever.
