I remember

This site is for everyone who wants to remember how precious life is... and to remember the people who have left this life already and are waiting on the other side for us. This site is to remember Columbine High School and the fifteen people who died that day in the worst school shooting in history.
Yes, I remember fifteen people that died. I do not condone in any way the actions of Eric and Dylan, but I choose to remember them for more than their last day on earth. I also wanted to share my thoughts on these two young men who died alongside their victims. Many will not agree with me about Eric and Dylan but I do not agree with the many that say they were monsters. Monsters are never born, they are created and to call these two wonderful intellegent boys monsters denies everything they ever were or had hoped to be and continues the cycle of hate and misunderstanding. We owe it to everyone who died that day to learn more about the things that caused this pain and sorrow.
As for people pointing their fingers at music, clothing and video games, perhaps they should take a good long look at themselves before they cast the first stone. People are looking for something or someone to blame because they don't want to realize that it could very easily have been their children who did this. If you are a perfect parent or a perfect person in every way, feel free to cast the first stone or sit in judgement of others. If you are like me, hopelessly human, then search for understanding and reach out in love to the people around you. This is the best way to heal. Reach out to the kid in the corner who no one talks to, reach out to the kid dressed all in black. You never know, you may find your best friend hiding behind a different appearance. We are all one nation and one world. Take the initiave to stand up for one another, and yourselves.

Everything Happens For A Reason

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there... to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson, or help figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be but when you lock eyes with them, you know that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way. And sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible, painful, and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, willpower or heart. Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, life would be like a smoothly paved, flat road to nowhere. Safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless. The people you meet affect your life. The successes and downfalls that you experiance can create who you are, and the bad experiances can be learned from. In fact, they are probably the most poingent and important ones. If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart, forgive them because they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart to. If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and open your heart and eyes to the little things.
Make every day count.
Appreciate every moment and take from it everything you possibly can, for you may never be able to experiance it again.
Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen.
Let yourself fall in love, break free and set your sights high.
Hold your head up high because you have every right to.
Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you.
Create your own life and then go out and live it.
