Movie Summary
Tony, a mild-mannered paleontologist, becomes the Puma Man after an Aztec guy named Vindino gives him a belt. Evidently, the belt gives Tony puma-related powers, as well as the ability to fly "like a moron." Meanwhile, Donald Pleasance is an evil man who controls people's wills and minds with a golden Aztec mask from outer space. Things happen, and the movie ends.
Host Segments
Prologue: Servo has Short Man's Disease, which means he has lifts on his hover skirt and acts like a motorcycler.
Segment One: Pearl has a ball, but no one shows up other than Brian, Staci, and Ortega, the people Brain Guy invited over to watch "Sliders." Pearl asks Mike and the 'Bots to mingle to get the party started, but it doesn't work well. Her mole keeps changing places, and Bobo thinks it's a Junior Mint.
Segment Two: Mike has a desert on his head after he asks Shelly the Nanite to give his hair "the dry look." Crow suggests they redirect a river onto it.
Segment Three: Crow and Servo tell Mike that he is Coatimundi Man and make him wear a silly costume. Mike asks Gypsy if she wants any cold sesame noodles and Servo and Crow don't get any.
Segment Four: Crow and Servo control the will and mind of Roger Whitaker. Mike can't think of a single thing to do with him.
Segment Five: Crow turns in his resignation, then returns, says he's freelance, and begs for a job. Brain Guy's party takes off, but Pearl's ball never left the ground. Roger Whitaker comes for the ball, but then decides to join Brain Guy's party instead. Pearl smacks him with his guitar.
Stinger: Vindino pushes Tony out the window, he doesn't really fall, and he lands like a stupid cat.
My Thoughts
If The Projected Man made me a MSTie, then The Puma Man made me a hardcore MSTie. This is my favorite episode ever! I can't get enough of watching Tony "fly like a moron" or Donald Pleasance and his egg/melon/peach head. This episode never fails to make me laugh.
I love all this host segments in this one, but if I had to pick a favorite it would have to be Coatimundi Man. Seeing Mike in that giant foam cowboy hat just made the whole segment for me.
