January 3, 2000 - Monday
The weather today was terrible. There was hail several times today, not to mention
lots of rain and thunder. In other words, yucky!
I didn't just mope around the house today though. I did something new and different!
I went to Kintaro Sushi, the restaurant across the street. I've been there before,
it's just that this is the first time I went by myself. Kintaro is cool, for those
of you who don't know, it's a revolving sushi restaurant. The sushi is on plates,
and they are on a revolving belt. You grab whatever you want and at the end they
count up the plates and that's how they figure out how much you should pay. It's
pretty good.
Later in the day I decided to go out so I took my bike out and I biked to the school.
I got a few New Years cards at work (and 3 more at home), plus I read the newspapers.
As I was leaving the school there was a terrible hailstorm again so I waited until
it was over. I biked home, but the wind was something awful! I wasn't sure that I
could make ride all the way. I was going directly into the wind. I had hoped to
detour into the grocery store, but it was still closed.
Tonight I made some jiffy-pop popcorn and even took a nap. I don't know why, but
I was just bagged. And that's it for today. I hope the weather will clear up a bit
tomorrow so I can go shopping.
