October 29, 2000 - Sunday
Today was a good day. It was busy.
The Halloween Party was today. I had to get up early and I couldn't sleep in. Poor
me. I did all the getting ready for work things, but of course I wasn't really getting
ready for work. I was getting ready for the party. I pulled my costume off the
floor where I had carefully thrown it a few weeks ago, did my make up and then met
Justin and took a taxi to the school.
Justin looked amazing. He was dressed in a woman's kimono and a long black wig.
He was also wearing make-up so I almost didn't recognize him.
The party was fun. We did a lot of games, most people were dressed up....there were
all kinds of prizes too. I even got one for enacting a scene from Dracula! Crazy
man!
Gabrielle came partway into the party and joined us. She did a few things for us,
helped us clean up and then we walked to my apartment. We dumped our stuff in my
apartment and took off to Mycal Otaru. We walked around a bit and went to an Indian
restaurant for some curry. It was nice for us to have a place where we could order in English
and then have a good chat.
After our meal, which was really yummy, we walked around the mall a bit and then went
to see a movie. We went to see X-Men. Yes, I know that I'd already seen it, but
it was fun and I wanted to see it again.
When the movie finished we came back to my apartment by train and now Gabrielle is
lying on her futon reading a magazine and I'm watching Ice Castles on TV. Yep, the
old Lynn Holly Johnson/Robby Benson flick. It's pretty bad and very 70's, but still
fun!
My cold update....for those of you who are interested, I still have a nasty cough
and my voice is still in a husky phase. I hope I get over it soon. I get a little
tired of sounding like a man!
