August 6, 2001 - Monday
It's late and I'm tired, so I'll try and make this quick.
I had a good and productive day today. I went to bed last night around 3:30...I hoped
that it would be earlier, but I just couldn't do it!
Today I had my Japanese lesson. It was difficult for me. Prepositions! Now I know
why my students get confused! And of course, my favourite, particles.
After the lesson I walked to City Hall, via the nice ice cream shop on the way. I
got a chocolate cone, which was a shock as I asked for chocomint, but it was still
good! At City Hall I got my "Alien Registration Card" updated with my new passport
number. Then I walked to the train station and caught a train to the mall.
I checked out the movies and of course I had just missed the beginning of Jurassic
Park 3, so I went and had lunch at Doutors. I did a bit of shopping and wandering
around, then went and bought my ticket for the movie. Armed only with my popcorn
and oolong tea, I faced the dinosaurs alone.
I really enjoyed the movie. What a hoot. William H. Macy was great, and Sam Neil
wasn't bad either. I had a lot of fun at that film. I jumped in my seat many times.
A big thank you to the lady who gave me a seat in front of all the other people.
I love sitting where I have a clear view.
After the movie I took a train to Otaru Station, then went into my office. I needed
to pick up my stamping supplies. They were so heavy that I decided to take a taxi
home. At home I immediately finished doing laundry from last night, watched Sabrina
(and later ER) and stamped the rest of my night away. I can't really tell you what I
made, but they are darn cute.
And that's it. I've been busy. Tomorrow I may be able to slow down at work. Ha
ha ha! I have seven lessons scheduled. Wish me luck!
Gotta fly.
