October 6, 2001 - Saturday
A busy busy day. I had my usual 7 lessons...they went well, I think. But, I'm getting
ahead of myself.
I went to the Authent Hotel bakery this morning and bought a yummy breakfast of tuna-mayo
potato, quiche, and cheese croissant.
I walked to the office and got there just before I had to be. I changed and ate my
breakfast, or tried to. The manager interrupted me three times, and I wasn't able
to eat everything before my class. I wasn't too happy!
In my last class today I taught my student how to play Scrabble and she really liked
it. In fact, we even went over time to finish our game.
After work, I stayed late at the office doing paperwork and then I had cake with my
old manager and my new one and Michiyo. It was nice, and a good casual way to get
to know everyone.
I came home close to 11 and as I got near the Authent Hotel I heard a terrible racket.
Then, at least 11 motorbikes raced by, gunning their engines, or whatever it is
they do to make the most noise. I thought that maybe they were trying to be cool.
Well, they weren't really, they were just being show-offs!
I came home via the convenience store where I bought more pink grapefruit juice.
The problem is now I think I may have drunk too much and I've started to get little
sores in my mouth. Oh dear.
Watched Roswell and Dharma and Greg, and a couple of the Ally McBeal re-runs, but
I'll probably go to bed soon so I can get a full days work in tomorrow. I'm going
to need it!
Wish me luck packing! Good night!
