October 25, 2001 - Thursday
I did it. After 4 and a half years with no absences I finally took a sick day. And
I'm glad that I did. I spent the morning and a lot of the afternoon in bed. Then
I got up and did a bit of unpacking. Not much, but the heap of boxes is a little
smaller now. Yay! I unpacked my books and some clothes and I made up my cd racks again
although I didn't unpack the cds yet. I'm just waiting because once they're full
of cds the racks are heavy and hard to move.
The bad thing is that Fumihiko's Mum is getting sick now. Poor thing. I hope she
only gets a mild form.
I went downstairs around 5:30 thinking Fumihiko would be along soon, but he was late
tonight. Still, I think it was nice for his Mum to have some company, even if we
couldn't understand each other.
And that's really my day. I started reading an Ian Rankin novel halfway through the
day, called Dead Souls. I'm enjoying it a lot, but it's a bit depressing, like all
of the John Rebus books.
Tomorrow I think I'll be going to work though. I can't see me staying home any longer
than one day.
Anyway, not much to say. Have a good night everyone!
