The D'Backs made their first trip to Los Angeles in early April. I was looking forward to the new schedule and seeing Matt several times during the season. Little did I know that when I saw him this time, that it would be the last time I would see him for a long time. At the end of that month, he sustained an injury to his pitching arm that would keep him out until June 2002. |
