Ribbon Laced Heart
Cut out a heart shape from a large size paper plate.Use hole punch to punch holes around the outside of "heart".Children use red ribbon to lace around the heart shape.Tie a bow at the top.
Have children string on a piece of yarn:red dyed macaroni noodles,1-inch straw pieces,small heart cut-outs with a hole punched through the middle.Tie two pieces of yarn together to make"necklace".
Multi-sized Heart Collage
Draw a large "half-heart" onto a folded piece of paper, making sure that the middle of the half heart is on the fold.Then draw 4 or 5 more half hearts inside the large half heart,having them graduate in size from largest to smallest.Once you have drawn the hearts, have the children start cutting out the hearts by cutting on the lines that you have drawn(keeping the paper folded).They will end up with many different sized outlines of hearts that they can then glue on a background sheet of a different color for a really nice "heart collage".
