I went to Cuesta College
out of high school and then transferred to Fresno State.
I obtained a degree in Industrial Technology and was
fortunate enough to be employed by Martin Marietta before
graduating. The company has since merged with Lockheed
and hence the new Lockheed Martin Company. I graduated
from college on a Friday and started work the following
Monday. It was a very strange experience coming from a
college campus to a very highly secured Air Force base
compound with guard dogs, rifles, no windows in the
buildings, and barbed wire fences (like a prison). The
cold war was in full swing! I've been employed by the
same company for almost nineteen years and have had
various assignments in my career. I've been married for
sixteen years to a wonderful gal (whom I met at work) and
we have two great children. Maureen and I have been
fortunate enough to be able to make it on one income for
the past twelve years. We've lived in the Denver area for
the past eleven years and love the state. We are a very
active family with kids stuff, camping, fishing, hunting,
... I still have my red 1969 VW bug which I bought in
1974. |
