After a very short career at your local
fast food establishment and the ending of a relationship
I joined the Marines. Returned to SLO in 1979 after
traveling all over the east coast with the Marines. Spent
the next two years at Cuesta College. Was a Reserve
Police Officer with SLO PD during college. In 1982
employed with the California Department of Corrections.
The department sent to firefighter school and was
employed as a full time Correctional Officer and part
time firefighter with the state and also volunteered with
Santa Margarita VFD. The year 1988 was half good, was
promoted to Sergeant and got divorced (another hard
lesson learned). In 1988 moved to Sacramento and moved in
with my now wife Kelly. After living in sin for seven
years we were married in 1993. In 1994 the birth of my
daughter Alexis was the highlight. The past seven years
have been the best, with Kelly and Alexis as the
cornerstone in my life. I thank them both each day with a
hug for the happiness they bring me each and every day.
