Cool Stuff I Did in High School Graduating was cool, and so was entering the frisbee contest with Russell Rogers during senior year. I guess the coolest was making goods friends who are still friends today.
Cool Stuff I've Done in the Last 25 Years After salvaging my academic career at Cuesta, I went down to USC, joined a fraternity (that was an experience for a surfer kid from Avila), met my future wife, and graduated with a degree in business. I found my way back to the central coast by joining the Den-Mat company, where I worked on the Rembrandt Whitening Toothpaste business. I recently joined the Spice Hunter company in San Luis, where I am brand manager for our line of packaged food.

I live in Arroyo Grande with my wife, Stephanie, (she is an R.N. at French Hospital) and two kids--7-year-old Piper, and 2-year-old Charlie. On the active side, surfing eventually led to ocean swimming, which led to triathlons and mountain bike racing. Lately it’s been swimming to stay in some kind of shape (I see Ed Somogyi at the pool nearly everyday). In 1995, I put together a volunteer race committee that organizes an open ocean swimming race at Avila each summer. All of our proceeds support low-income youth swimming lessons in SLO County. It is gratifying way to give something back to the community, and a sport I love.
