Dolphincraft

Shim and Sarin raid the Men's Dorms...until Mai has some trouble.
Hall's Lounge
Cozy to the point of downright stuffy this lounge exudes a salty briny air. Overstuffed and comfortable looking are the chairs of dark blue that reside at one end of this circular room. The smattering of tables that they surround are nothing more than tops with scarred wooden legs attached as well they should be. Rugs worn with age decorate the polished floor of this relaxation area soft greens and browns making barefeet swoon. Paintings of charts and various sea mammals and fish have been painstakingly added to the walls creating the atmosphere of their mother sea. To one side of the bridge is a wide ledge area, extending out and low enough so that the waters of the sea lane lap quietly,... [look closer]
To the northeast, you see four people.
Settled near the water is FortyTwo
You see Breakfast_Tray here.

Mailli walks with slow and deliberate steps, in from the Women's Dorms.

Jessa sits rather upside down, her feet are on the cushion of the chair, yet that is all that are on the chair. Her head then rests on the floor and she helps support her head on the floor, somewhat like a wierd handstand, in which the feet rest on a chair and her back is pressed against the chair.

Mailli walks in looking pale, drawn, and exhausted. She looks around and nods towards Jessa when she spots the 'prentice, "Keeping your studies up?" So she really /isn't/ that concerned at the moment. Who cares? It sounds good doesn't it?

Jessa shifts her eyes to look at her unhealthy mentor. Jess doesn't care too much about her studies at the moment either, "'lo Mailli," she greets, continuing to sit in her odd position.

Mailli eyes Jessa a bit as she seats herself in a comfy looking chair, "Um, any reason you're upside down?" she asks, trying hard to
not look any more tired than she already is.
Jessa pulls her feet down and swings them around her head. There's a thump and then the apprentice is lying on the ground, face down, and legs outstretched behind her. She looks up and then just grins, "Nah, no reason. It was very comfortable."

Mailli nods as she begins to dig for her notes. Now just /where/ did she leave them?

Jessa blinks and watches Mai, and then gets up and begins to approach her mentor. Jess then plunks down on the arm of the chair that the journeywoman is sitting on and just blinks at Mai.

Mailli looks up at Jessa with a slightly vacant look in her eyes, "Um. Yes?"

Jessa just blinks at Mailli and then looks at her mentor somewhat starry-eyed. "Um, nothing?" Of course, if the journeywoman knew this apprentice well, she'd know that Jess is up to something.

Mailli blinks back at the girl. Of course she /is/ up to something, but /darned/ if Mai is going to ruin her fun. Someone might as well be happy, because she sure in blazes isn't. In fact... Mai stands and rushes towards the privy, only to return a short time later looking just a little paler than she had before, "I won't miss that," she remarks offhandedly.

Jessa blinks a moment and watches Mai dash off. Now the dashing might just ruin Jess' fun, well, Jess will try to accomodate that. "You're not feeling any better? Not at all?" Is that genuine concern for her mentor there? Indeed it could be.

Mailli gives Jess a blank stare. Something's missing, now what was it again? Oh, right, "Notes."

Jessa returns the blank stare with an innocent look, "What notes?" Hm, does that mean that the Mai is going to give Jess another lesson or something?

Mailli blinks and looks around for her notes, "Notes, class notes." And with that, she finds herself seated in the chair she is standing in front of. Or perhaps seated is too kind of a word as she did more or less just fold up and fall forward. Now just exactly how long has it been since anyone say Mailli eat anything that stayed down for any length of time?

Jessa jumps up from the chair and steps back. "Mailli?" Jess is now definitely panicked. "Mailli?" is repeated again, and Jess ventures forward to give Mai a gentle nudge.

Mailli groans a little and gives a half nod, "Be fine. E'entually." Ah yes, 'eventually' is her standard answer to just about anything.

Mailli releases Matti, who launches into the air.

Jessa looks less than convinced and rather panicked. So, why not go and get other people to help out? Jess heard a bunch of people coming from the Men's Dorms, so why not go there and find someone?

Matti hisses at Jessa, his eyes whirling in the orangey red of distress. Then flies towards the men's dorms before returning to hiss at Jess some more.

You go to the Men's Dorms.

Men's Dorms
A worn and torn strip of deep green carpet streaks the middle of this long room's stone floor, ceasing where tables and chairs hug the back wall; the wall claims a large mosaic depicting dolphins leaping from azure waters. Niches mar left and right walls provide minimal privacy for the occupants; slender cots and small presses hide behind the thin cover of a curtain, drawn across by a bar at the top. Marking the four corners of the room and illuminating the vaulted ceiling hang glowbaskets. Older apprentices, those with seniority, claim cots nearer to the entrance, while the newer apprentices rest farther back.
Gliding above is a blue firelizard.
You see Ren's Cot, Jerle's Cot, and Webandy's Soft Cot here.
You notice Devyn, Rendall, Webandy, Jheirero, Sandaval, Sartac, and Sveidelni asleep here.
Jaekor, Sarin, Shimmer, and Shadis are here.

Shadis nods slightly, "Yeah, huh?" Revenge it certainly is, Sarin. At Jaekor's attempt to weasel himself away, Shad's head pops upwards and he stares at the boy. "No! Stay!" Cough, "Errr, I mean, you're welcome to stay here, Jaekor, you're not in the way or anything." Shad's green eyes do the begging for him, as the PLEASE! is quite silent.

Jessa runs into the room, a look of fright on her face, which is rare for this appy indeed. "Someone help Mailli!" Once actually in the room Jess pauses and looks around. "Sarin! Help Mailli, please!"

Matti swims in from the southwest.

Shimmer sighs pitifully. If only she was still a junior apprentice, she would hop over and attempt to wipe that smirk off of Jaekor's face. However, in the presence of the crafthead, she dares not. Nope. An odd glance is sent towards Srin. Cleanliness is good. Yup. Shim notes Shad's response, and her eyes sparkle oh-so-innocently, "Oh, it's completely your choice, Jaekor." she notes silkily, before leaping off the cot. "Mailli!? What's wrong? Where is she??" Oh no, not Mai...

Jessa jumps in place and points back to the Lounge, "Mai's there! Mai's not doing good!" And Jess is scared, very scared. Her mentor's not been doing well. But the journeywoman hasn't ever collapsed before. And her firelizard is acting all wierd too, like something's wrong, very wrong too.

Shimmer dashes out to the lounge worriedly, sapphire eyes snapping with acute worry. "Oh dear..." is heard murmured as the snr. appy fairly flies out towards the lounge.

Matti chirrups at Shimmer and Shadis. His eyes still whirling in a distressed orange, though the speed seems to have slowed just a little.

Shimmer bounces in with a light step, sapphire eyes sparkling... to the Out.

You go to the Hall's Lounge.

Sarin meanders in from the Men's Dorms.

Mailli would snap at the senior 'prentice, but it seems so trivial right now, "Fine. 'm fine," is mummbled. Yeah, like anyone is likely to believe that.

Matti glides in from the Men's Dorms.

Jessa follows behind Shimmer, and still looks somewhat worried about her mentor. Right, Mai's just fine. She just randomly collapsed on the chair. Right. Right. And Jess really is a firelizard.

Shadis walks in from the Men's Dorms.

Jaekor walks in from the Men's Dorms.

Sarin stares pointedly at Mailli, putting on her best Crafthead voice. "What happened, Mailli?" No questions as to whether or not the journeywoman is all right; for the moment, Sarin is just asking what happened.

Shimmer dashes over towards Mai, fumbling at her pouch and finally retriving the object she searches for, a petite skin of juice. "Drink." the senior appy orders, brooking no response other than yes as she opens the item and pushes it towards her, holding it in front of her in a way that seems to say that if Mai doesn't accept it, Shim might just pour it down her throat forcibly...

Shadis is still a bit in shock and all that stuff, so his reaction is just a touch delayed, but as the realization sinks in, he hops to his feet and runs after the others. "MAILLI!" Ok, he's a bit loud, but she's practically his family, here, and he's concerned. "Mailli, are you okay? What's the matter?" He asks as he nears, fairly shoving people out of his way in an attempt to reach her. Entirely ignoring Sarin and any jurisdiction she might have, he crouches beside her chair, fairly begging for her attention. "Mailli?"

Mailli blinks first at Srin, then Shimmer, with her eyes coming to rest finally on Shadis, "Just got a little light headed. Don't know why Jess is making such a fuss," Right, keep telling yourself that Mai.

Jessa nods her head, "And she fell over," so what if no one asked her. That's an important thing to remember. One minute the Mai was just standing there and the next she was on the chair. And that hasn't ever happened before. And it can't be a good thing either.

Shimmer glances at Shad worriedly, moving over oh-so-slightly as she wiggles the skin at the woman decisively. She /will/ drink the high-in-sugar juice. Shim moves the juice closer to her mouth, "Light-headed, hmm? This'll make you feel better." she persists. Stubborn, Shim is.

Sarin isn't going to dance around, particularly since this concerns Mailli's health. "And why are you light headed? And why did you fall? Talk to me, Mailli, or I'll pick you up and carry you over to healer hall right now." Nothing stopping Sarin from doing that /after/ Mailli talks, but she won't say as much.

Mailli eyes the skin warily before taking a sip from it. Maybe? And then there is Srin, "Nothin' stays down," she all but wails to Sarin. What else can she say as the proof of that statement hits the floor just inches from someone's booted foot. Most likely Shim's or Shadi's. Ewwe.

"Sarin, leave her alone!" He snaps, giving Mailli a way-overly-concerned frown. "She'll answer when she's ready!" With a slight gasp and a jump back, he frowns deeper, reaching out to brush at stray strands of Mailli's hair (cause we all know that you must have someone to hold your hair back while you're sick... And if it's up, it will fall from the tie...)

Mailli glances at Shadis, "no, srin's right. should see healers," her voice is soft, barely a whisper as she talks, poor thing is exhausted and quite ready to be quit of the baby.

Shimmer glares at Shadis, and reaches for his forearm, prepared to grab it and move him away, she hisses under her breath, "Can't you tell? She's pregnant. Back off and let us handle it, awright, m'dear?" What Mai needs right now is not an over-protective man hovering about, and Shim will prevent it. The fruit juice is stowed away in her pouch, and she gazes at Sarin. "Let's take her to the Infirmary?"

Sarin closes her eyes briefly, then shouts for a drudge and returns her attention to Mailli. "That's right, you should see a healer. That's not healthy; you need your food, both for yourself and your child. Maybe they can give you something." Having a healer for a mother has left Sarin not-so affected by things like Mailli's proof. "Would you like to go to the healer hall, or shall we call one here for you? Probably the latter's best, so you don't have to move much..." A nod to Shimmer, "Good idea. Can you walk, Mailli?"

Mailli nods, "Can try." She stands and promptly sits back down, only to stubbornly shove herself back to her feet. Blinks a few times as she finds that she pushed herself up too hard and lucky for her Shim and Shadi are both /right/ there for her to fall on.

Jessa just watches her mentor and these proceedings, and is now calm and relieved, somewhat. Now Mailli's going to get looked after properly. With all these people around someone is bound to do some good. Isn't it a good thing that Jess ran off and brought them back with her?

Shadis blinks at Shimmer. Oh, of /course/ he knew Mailli was pregnant. YEAH RIGHT! He's male, young, and oblivious. He doesn't know anything about pregnancy, he's never seen it, not until it was glaringly obvious back home. He was his mother's second and last, so he wouldn't even know about it from her. "Pregnant?" He repeats, fairly mollified and quieted by Shimmer's explanation. "She's /pregnant?/"

Mailli nods at Shadis, "you're funny," she says softly to him before straightening up /slowly/ to head off to the infirmary with Srin and Shimmer.

Jessa blinks and watches. Yay Mai's going to get help. Looks like they've got things all under control. Jess will just stay here.

Sarin snorts at Shadis. "Yes. Pregnant. That's where babies come from." And she goes along with Mailli slowly.

Shimmer bites her lip to hide a giggle at Shadis, and nods silently, propping Mai up with a grin and a nod at Shad, "To the Infirmary..." she notes stubbornly, glancing towards Shad, apparently looking for his help in bringing Mai to the Infirmary as she takes a step in that direction, vowing to have a chat with Shad afterwards about keeping your head in situations...

Mailli swims with sure strokes and an easy familiarity with the waters, to the southwest.

Shadis swims to the southwest.

Shimmer strokes easily along, diving down to swim under the azure waves before zooming back up with a splash... to the southwest.

Sarin swims smoothly to the southwest.
