Shim teaches Jessa Deep Dive, with the help of Kisha...
Sea Lane
Surrounded by bedrock walls worn smooth by the passage of time and water, the sea lane is just wide enough for sailing ships to pass through to the docking caverns beyond. Walls wet with sea spray and the action of the waves, the water here is shadowed by a bridge high overhead that crosses from ledge to ledge. Gaping and large enough to fit a dragon within it, lies the actual entrance to this large sea cave, huge metal doors set to either side making this area easy to seal off from the weather and thread.
Hovering over the water is Toretto
Swimming about are Eri, Tessa, Bao, Tillek, Mayri, Pip, Zaphi, Ihiske, Ava, and Tursi

Shimmer strokes easily along, diving down to swim under the azure waves before zooming back up with a splash... in from the northwest.
Kisha swims in from the southeast.
Jessa is sitting on the sea lane wall, feet dangling over the edge as she tosses pebbles into the water and watches the on-goings in the lane.
Shimmer boings in happily, a towel flung over her shoulder as the girl bounces. Boingy-boingy-boingy. Blue eyes sparkling, she notes Jessa and waves, "Hullo, hullo!! How're you?" My, my, Shim seems to be in a bright mood to-day. Must be the sun. Spring is always exciting.
Jessa turns her head around to the source of the happy burbling and grins, "Hiya Shimmer! I'm doing great, how about you?" Ah yes, summer is always a wonderful time of the Turn. Indeed it is. Warm and happy and bright.
Kisha cuts through the water, like a hot knife through butter, barreling in from the seaward side. Suddenly she bursts into the air and does a flip, sending sparkling drops of water spinning around her before nose diving back in.
Shimmer grins at Jessa and boings on the tips of her toes, "Fabulous, fabulous." she gushes happily, plopping herself down next to Jessa and arranging her towel happily behind her. Kisha is beamed at, "Hullo!!" she calls with a grin, clapping at the flip...
Jessa applauds the 'phin's actions. So beautiful and graceful. "It's so nice in Ista." Good thing she's not in Keroon any longer, she probably couldn't stand the winters any more, not after spending so much time in the warm Istan climate. "Hey Shim, do you think you could teach me the deep dive?"
Kisha gives a series of clicks and whistles as she surfaces again and tail walks for a few feet. "Hi, HIya, Hi-lo!" she calls out and gives a happy little squee as she moves in closer to the pair.
Shimmer smiles happily and agrees, sighing slightly before blinking and considering for a moment. "Deep dive? Well, sure." Shim considers a bit more, trying to dredge up the memories of when she was taught that class. "Can you tell me the fundamental difference between deep dive and normal dive?" she questions idly as she thinks, before she grins at Kisha and beams, "I haven't seen you around in a while, Kisha dear! How've you been?"
Jessa grins at the 'phin and waves, "Hiya!" she returns, every bit as enthusiastic. Jess peers at Shimmer and grins, "Thanks!" Can't let a good favor go by without thanking the friend for doing something. "In a deep dive you have the aide of a dolphin and you can dive deeper?"
Kisha swims quietly around and then splashes water with her beak "Class good thing. I doing good, Seacliffs waters are very nice for swimming."
Shimmer grins at Jessa. "Exactly." she beams happily, a chuckle escaping her at the obvious answer put forth before Shim slips into the water and treads happily. Water water water. "Ooh, yes, I remember swimming over at 'Cliffs. Beautiful over there." she notes brightly, waving Jessa in and beaming at Kisha, "Want to help us out with the class?" she asks with a hopeful look in her eye. Shim could pretend to be a 'phin, of course, but...it wouldn't quite be the same class experience. Nope nope.
Kisha nods her head "Beautiful waters indeed." she agrees and slips over next to Slippa and bobs quietly in the water. "I can help, I'm good at swimming deep." she notes as she looks out at Slippa from one eye.
Jessa slips into the water along with Shimmer and grins at Kisha, "Oooh, you'll help? Really? Thanks!" Either Jess is just really happy and excited or she's brimming with unusual thankfulness. Or maybe the earlier visit to the harper hall had something to do with that.
Shimmer beams at Kisha and bobs happily. "Yay! Thanks!! Jessa here hasn't dove deep before, so we'll have to coach her through it. Any tips?" she queries of Kisha, smiling at Jess and noting, "You'll want to take a really big breath." she shrugs slightly and winks, before going back to bobbing happily. La dee dah...
Kisha lets her head sit a momemt on the water before replying 'And hold breath, breathing water is not good at all. And hold on tight." she adds after a moment
Jessa nods to Shimmer, "And what do I do then after I take a deep breath?" Because, you see, it would hardly make any sense at all for Jess to take a breath and wait for instructions and thus run out of air. "Hold on tight? To Kisha?"
Shimmer grins at Jessa. "Yep, yep, hold on tight to Kisha. Wouldn't want to lose her." Shim notes with a wink. "And have fun!" she grins happily, before nodding, "I'll stay up here at the surface, I certainly can't dive as far down as a 'phin can, but if you two want to head on down...I'll be right here!" Shim grins brightly, and continues her bobbing. Bob...bob...
Jessa casts Shim a glance and just grins. Oooh, she gets to dive with a 'phin. Fun fun. "So, basically I hold on, much like if I were swimming with a 'phin, just a little bit tighter so I don't loose hold?"
Kisha would grin even more if it was possible, but she bobbles up along-side Jessa "Grab my fin and hold tight. We have lots of fun yes?" she asks
Shimmer beams at Jessa. "Ayup! Have fun." she grins brightly, continuing to bob around, though now she seems to be using her arms to bob in complex patterns. Because normal bobbing just gets boring after a while, you know...
Jessa nods to Kisha and grins, "Alright." The senior appy takes a deep breath of air and holds on to the fin of the 'phin, tightly too. But hopefully not -too- tightly, and hopefully Kisha will let her know if the grip is too much.
Kisha glances once at Jessa and then dives under the water, pulling her down steadily. Not to fast, seeing as humans can be so frail, but fast enough that they quickly get into the darker water. She keeps a constant eye on Jessa however for any signs of distress.
Jessa is pulled under by Kisha. She remembers to keep her mouth firmly shut, no letting the corners turn upwards in a grin and let water leak in. A firm grip is kept to Kisha's 'phin. Isn't it just so nice how the dolphins are so understanding and concerned about certain things? Truly admirable creatures.
Shimmer idly bobs around, waving as the two disappear before she sticks her head under in a vain attempt to see their progress, though as the water darkens as it deepens, her efforts are in vain.
Kisha levels out under the water a moment or two as she watches silently and then begins to slowly bring Jessa back up to the surface. Wouldn't want her to run out of breath.
No, we would indeed not want Jess to run out of breath. That would be a Bad Thing. Once on the surface she exhales the air she's been holding in her lungs and then inhales. She glances around for Shimmer and exclaims happily, "That was so fun!"
Shimmer giggles at Jessa and beams at Kisha, "Thanks for the help!!" she says happily. Yay! Couldn't've done it without her! "I'll bet it was!" Shim grins wryly and flicks a bit of water at Jessa, stopping her random bobbing for the moment...
Jessa giggles and beams at Kisha, "Thanks a lot." Now if the 'phin wants a scritch, she can surely weasel a good one out of a thankful senior appy, now can't she? Splashed by Shim, Jessafish splashes back at Sharky Shim. Going to start something, eh?
Kisha sprays air and water out her blowhole as she surfaces as well "Welcome" she says cheerfully "Diving deep is fun, can find many neat things down below." she notes as she sidles up close to JEssa and presents her underside, her flipper up in the air.
Jessa scritches Kisha's underside. It's the least she can do for the fun and help that Kisha just gave her. "It is so much fun." Perhaps sometime Kisha can take Jess for another dive and they might go looking for something interesting.
Shimmer sticks out her tongue at Jessa and flicks another few droplets over in her direction oh-so-daintily. Yep. Shim's quite the polite water-fighter. Ahem.
Kisha squees playfully and flicks her tail a bit, sending more water flying. Water play is always a lot of fun."
