This week Mitch & Ace played the "Legend Course" again. We got there late & it was backed up on the front, so we started on #10. Weather was windy, but that kept the temp down. We played fast & after nine it was still crowded on the front, so played the backside again. With no practice the last few weeks it was a very tough day. It was still a fun day,. A bad day of Golf is better than a good day of work, lol. The only problem was the bar was out of Bud Light (can you believe it) so went with Fat Tire & I blame my bad day on that, lol. Just kiddin`, Dark Beer`s not too bad & it was COLD!

Mitch played well, just couldn`t buy a putt again, might have to go with the long putter? This week no pars, but did start with 5 good bogies, but from there it was all downhill.Finished the 1st nine with double & 3 triples. On the 2nd nine again started with 2 bogoies, but then double, triple & finished with 5 double bogies! He drove the ball well, had the driver reshafted & it helped get rid of his slice. He was still fighting the short game & the putting is hard to watch. I`ve never seen so many putts slide over the edge, both right & left? Maybe he can work that out for next time!

Ace started strong with a great drive down the middle, but that was it! Chunked a 9 iron in the trap,& that was the story for the day! Ace hit so many traps felt like Laurence of Arabia. Played the sand shots well but couldn`t make a putt. Started with double & 2 bogies before making par at the 4th. Then right back to double, then triple (ob on a par 3), bogie, double & did manage a good up & down for par #9. Second nine was a disaster.Did manage a par with another up & down on a par 3, but that was it. Had 4 bogies & 4 doubles. Drove the ball lousy & the short game was a mess, except the bunker shots, just couldn`t convert the putts. Missed alot of short putts(under 6ft)again this week.

Actually ran out of gas on the back nine ( that`s a under statement), but that was expected.

Should be back on schedule for the summer, just need a ton of practice. See, nothing changes but the time and the date. A year ago was crying about practice, BUT!! Oh well, Hope is Eternal!!
