I enjoy crossword puzzles (easy ones), video games ( Capcom's Street Fighter series is my all time favourite), basketball and music. The last two, though, are what I am really passionate about. Please read on.

I have been playing basketball since I was about 9 and like the popular NBA slogan says "I LOVE THIS GAME!" I'm a pretty "old-school" type of player in that I prefer teamwork and unselfishness to the one man heroics popular today. I also loved players like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and James Worthy, both of the dominant Los Angeles Lakers team of the late 80's. My favourite professional players aren't hard to identify. They were all on the original USA Dream Team (the REAL Dream Team!) which went to the 1992 Olympics. I try to learn from these and the other amazing players in the NBA. Any true basketball lover will tell you there is just something magical about getting a basketball into that 10' hoop. I hope I can play basketball all the days of my life.

My other passion is music. It is so powerful. I really feel that it is one of God's greatest gifts to be able to hear and enjoy music. Do you remember Michael Jackson's early song "Music and Me"? That song could have been written about me. I enjoy music of many different genres, eras. Once again, "old-school" could describe me because I love a lot of "old" music that I guess most people my age wouldn't be interested in. I especially enjoy rap, R&B, reggae, some alternative and calypso. Calypso and reggae are the musical forms of the Caribbean but Calypso is Barbados' first love. Our music industry is growing rapidly with many artistes getting international exposure and contracts. You can visit the websites of two of our top bands: Krosfyah and Square One. If you are a top 40 lover, check out Rick Dees' site.
