CONCERT REPORTS:

AUGUST 14 (BEVERLY, MASSACHUSETTS)

Hi Everybody

I am on cloud nine! David is a HOTTIE!! as my nieces would put it. LOL!  David wore tight black jeans and a shimmered shirt he looked so fine . I made a special t shirt to wear at this concert, it was a picture of David and I at the meet n greet . When he started to talk to us and people were going up the stage showing partridge pictures etc, By now he was standing right in front of me, he said " Wait a minute is that me and you on your t- shirt" I answered yes. He then said "Stand up I want to see this and told me to  show it to the audience" He also replied "you also have a nice chest". OMG!  I take David home any day. He put on a awesome show! He sang Ricky's Tune and Hollywood Nights and plus my favorites Cherish and Summer Days. Tina I blew him a kiss for all of us, and he held my hand for only seconds but it will last me a lifetime, I put my t-shirt in a plastic bag with a story behind it, I will never forget this concert.

AUGUST 16 (WESTBURY, NEW YORK)

Hi  all,
Let me tell you  everything. While driving  down  the parkway  to Westbury I  saw 8  baby bunnies  with their mom. I love bunnies, I have a bunnie. But let's get back to David. I got to Westbury at 7:20 pm. I was getting exicited. I know I have met  David Cassidy many many times. He's a great guy and beautiful person with a kind heart. A lot of  people  were  talking about the  internet and this David Cassidy Chat. Some weren't in or on this chat. They know about us .: )
David Cassidy  was  a few minutes  late. His  band  that he  works  with  from one of his shows from Las Vegas was there. They were great. I tried to take pictures of David  Cassidy,  but they told me next time they see me take a picture they said I would have to leave. I got 3 pictures. Don't know if they are good or not.
David  was wearing a nice shirt and tight black jeans and  low black  boots. He talked about  when  he lived in Long Island. He's from N.Y. He said  he still has cousins  and  family here, and that we are the best. He said we are the best again. He told us  that he wants to come back to Westbury next year again. The people here were so nice  to him, a lady gave him a red rose. Some  woman put flowers on stage. I had greaaaaaaaaaaaaat seats. Fantastic. He was talking to us. Told us a few things about when and  how he did the song "Come on get  happy." Some of the songs he sang were Summer days, Rock me baby, Lyin' to myself, Cherish  and others. He sang Echo valley 26809. He said back then we didn't have call phones. He was joking around with the song Echo valley 26809  about a call phone. It was funny. We laughed a bit too. His wife was there.
After the show more than half of the people went home but I didn't, I stay there long time. Then David Cassidy came out the stage door and wave and walked away to go and get his pictures taken, his son kept on looking over the fence at me. Beau Cassidy is so cute. Then about 30 mintues later (it felt like hours)David Cassidy and Beau his son went back in Westbury music fair. His wife was outside. I didn't stay. I was very tired. I wish I stayed longer. I just wanted to tell you it was more than a blast seeing David Cassidy. He's sooooooooooo sexy and very good looking. He held the one of the lady singer real close and hugged her real close. Man i wish it was me. KEEP LOVING DAVID CASSIDY.... HE'S THE MAN!!!

love always @---->----

I went to David's concert in Westbury, NY.  I drove with the kids from NJ to Westbury and left late morning.  It should only take an hour to get there but it took over 3 1/2 hours!!!  I've been thinking about getting a new camera that would take good pictures in concert without flash.  A lot of the cheaper camera stores are in Brooklyn so I decided to stop at one on the way.  The traffic was extremely bad going into New York that as soon as I got there I decided against looking for a camera.  I thought I'd find a place to eat lunch and go to the bathroom!  It looked like I ended up in the slums and I couldn't find a place to eat lunch or park.  I was driving in circles and got so lost and couldn't find the streets on the map.  I just sat in the car crying!  My son is not much of a map reader.  We finally figured out where I was and got back on the highway.  There are not many places to stay in Westbury but I made reservations at a motel.  It was a $70 dump!  The lady at the motel told me she wouldn't give me the AAA discount because they just decided to raise the price to $85 and I was lucky to pay $70!  I don't know how they get people to stay there.  The maids were cleaning the room when I got there and it was so dirty that I decided not to bring in the luggage until I went back there.  We drove to the Westbury Music Fair.  I asked at the box office if they had anything closer, but they don't exchange tickets at that theater.  We went to the stage door to see if David had arrived yet.  There were some fans there and I chatted with them.  A van arrived a few minutes later and some people got out and went into the theater.  I saw Sue go in, but I didn't realize that the man with the baseball cap on was David!  Someone else didn't realize it was him either.  We were behind a barracade so we couldn't get too close.  I had the kids with me and have been hoping to get a picture of the two Davids together.  We went back to the motel to bring the luggage in and then went to a restaurant for a quick dinner since we didn't have lunch!  I barely made it to the concert in time.  I was hoping to meet some fans who were getting together in the parking lot but I got there too late.  I did manage to say hi to a few at their seats.  I was in the 8th row which wasn't too bad.  I didn't have an aisle seat so I didn't run down the aisle to get closer to David.  It's a slowly revolving stage but didn't go completely in a circle; it would get to a certain point and then turn back.  Of course David started and ended facing the other side!  David was fantastic, as always! Candace Davis-Martin didn't sing "Rescue Me" this time and David didn't leave to change his shirt.  Not that I want any songs cut out, but better to cut that one out than one of David's!  During the concert he said his father grew up 20 miles from there and he had relatives in the audience.  Someone showed a banner from the 70s and he had her go up on stage!  She offered to give it to him but he wanted her to keep it.  He gave her a kiss.  A friend of mine threw a padded bra on stage that said "Just David" on it!  David joked about it.  The show was pretty much sold out.  After the concert I waited out by the backstage door.  It looked like there was close to 200 fans out there!  Many were calling for David and singing PF songs.  David came out and went into a tent.  I'm not sure if he was meeting Westbury subscribers in there or not.  About 1/2 hour later he came out and stood directly in front of the girl in front of me!  He stood out there probably about 30 seconds and waved and thanked everyone for coming.  I didn't think he would do that so I didn't have my camera ready and didn't take any pictures!  He then got into the van and left.

AUGUST 17 (EAST CHICAGO, INDIANA)

Hi guys,
Don't have much time to write cause I am at work, but wanted to share last nights performance.  David was great!!!!  He was wearing tight black jeans which looked great!  His show was only one hour (not sure why, but I think it was a decision made by Harrahs), but he never left the stage.  The song that Candice usually sings was cut so that he could continue performing.   A couple of us were able to move up into the 4th row just before the show cause the seats were empty and the usher told to go ahead and move up.  Wonderful seats!! I snuck up to the front by the stage for his last 2 songs--that was heaven!!  As usual he was great with the audience and chatted with a few of the fans, then before we knew it, it was over.  I can't wait until tonight to see him again, and also to see all the others from the list.  It was so great seeing so many of you again, and it was wonderful meeting those I haven't met before!!  Well gotta get back to work so that I get out of here to get to Joliet tonight.

The concert at East Chicago was on the same day as Jamie's 13th birthday, both boys were excited, this was the first time they had ever seen David in concert. Sure they had heard his music, listened to me tell them how good the shows were! Seen me come home from AC last year having had the best time for quite some time, they also had talked with the girls on the phone many times.
The first part of the day was a bit upsetting for the boys, as you had to be 21 yrs to go into the concert, but after Judi talking to the lady from Harrahs, they were allowed to go to the concert -- as long as they went everywhere with an adult, for which I will be eternally grateful to all concerned.

So anyhow ---- we went to the concert, which was not a large venue, about 500 people, we all sat in the same row as the boys  with regard to what I have already said.

The show was soooooo good ---to say the least, we were allowed to kneel in the aisle, DC asked for us to remain there and not get sent back to our seats, Matthew was at the stage, mesmerized by the whole thing, Jamie was by me, WHAT A BIRTHDAY he was having.

Then David saw Matthew and asked if he knew who he was, Matthew said yes, OMG David was unable to reply to that. Then he asked if he had ever seen his MOM act like this before to which Matthew replied YES, another come back snatched from him ---- oh the honesty of the young --- and what must he think that his mum is like if she acts like that at other times.

Then Matthew said it was his brother's birthday so David turned to see who was Matthew's brother and started talking to Jamie. He asked him his name, wished him Happy Birthday and then asked who his Mom was!!!!!!! To which everyone turned to me, David shook my hand --- and there is me thinking --- OMG he must be thinking -- this is that English woman that never smiles ---- Janie says that is my "nom de plume" with regard to my meet and greet and other previous concerts.

Oh my the boys had such a good time, they were talking all the time comparing notes, so to speak. We overheard them later that night,
"I got two eye contacts"
"I had more than that"
"Those women at the front were so rude"
"Sitting on the stage --leaning on his leg for a photo"
"He is so amazing, fills the whole stage"

I think you may get my drift on this one, but for me to see them so happy after the bad years since Tony's death, made me feel so warm inside. I never ever thought anything like this could happen, we were on holiday, thanks to Judi --- and that was enough for me!

But  thanks to David being who he is he made the trip so special for them and it was Jamie's 13th birthday --- one he will never forget ---- and also they have liked his music for years ---- now they know what it is like to see him sing live ----- something I never saw till last year.

Now, back to the concert, it was the best, everytime I am lucky enough to see him --- he just gets better and better, the songs may change a bit, but the voice (IMHO) has just got better, more resonance --- more depth --- more quality. Oh I could go on for ever, but let me end here before I bore you all. Suffice it to say we all had a ball.

love
Leigh

AUGUST 18 (JOLIET, ILLINOIS)

The concert in Joliet was fantastic!!!!  David had so much energy for the show.  He seemed to really love the theatre that he was performing in -- he even made reference to his father probably having performed in a theatre similar to this (this theatre was absolutely beautiful inside).  He again wore those wonderful tight black jeans that fit him beautifully!!  He wore a blue shirt for the first half of the show and a black shirt for the last half.  He was quite talkative with the crowd and gave his all during every song.  I once again was in tears during half the show, he is just so amazing on that stage that my emotions just get the best of me.  Unfortunately we weren't able to get close to him for this show because they had an area right in front of the stage that was blocked off for the VIP's -- it looked like it was an orchestra pit at one time.  I did sneak off to the side stairs that led up to the stage during the last 2 songs to get a better view.  I love getting close because you can see so much emotion in his face when he is singing his songs -- especially songs like "Cry".
I also have to say how wonderful it was to see so many other fans and friends from this list.  I so enjoyed see all of you and talking with you all, I just wish that I wouldn't have had to work Saturday so that I could have spent more time with everyone. Hope that all of you traveling back home have a safe trip.  Hopefully I'll get the chance to see you all again soon.
Thanks David and all you for a wonderful and unforgetable weekend.

It was the absolute BEST, totally exhilarating! I don't even know where to start!! Well, we got there when he was in the middle of the 1st song (I'm always late for everything!!!). My seats turned out to be really cool!! I was in the very last row on the floor, in the middle, next to the aisle. Well this came in REAL handy when we snuck up to the front!! lol A lot of girls snuck up to the front & we all sat on the floor in the middle of the aisle, it was so funny!! But I got a few good pics in, and a GREAT view of DC!! I was so shocked seeing him in person for the first time, my lil ol' heart was pitter-pattering! LOL And this is my hightlight of the evening..... the first time we crept up to the front, they let us sit there for about 10 min. or so....then the usher lady told us that we had to go back to our seats...I was right up front, just 1 person in front of me (not counting the VIP section) and all the girls were walking back up the aisle... I didn't want to go back & was sad, and I waved to David & yelled 'Bye David!' and he smiled & pointed to me!!  I know it was small, but I was just tickled!! LOL The songs were so cool, I really got a kick out of the song he did with Candace, she has such a presence... she sang a song while DC changed his shirt... "Rescue Me".  It all was sooooo fast, I was really sad when it was over. My husband was so cool thru it all! He was just laughing & having a ball, he was tickled that I was so giddy & happy! And the ladies there were just as crazy about David as I am, it was just too cool. I almost cried when he sang "Ricky's Tune"... throughout the WHOLE concert he sounded SO GOOD!! The best I've ever heard! I really mean that too ~ Daydreamer is my fave CD, and he sounded even better live than on the cd!! He also made a joke about the husbands in the audience, like all the hubbies were sitting there going "Oh Christ!!" The way he said it was so damn funny! And someone yelled "I love you" or something like that to him, and as he was toweling himself off, he said, "I don't think you'd feel that way if you were standing right next to me!!" OMG it was a freakin crack-up! "Mack the Knife" was awesum!! And he sang "Cry", the song was in Grease 2, it started like, "When your sweetheart sends a letter of goodbye....."  and I was dyin! It was really cool. And he did mention how he thought his dad would like to perform in a place like the Rialto. (Believe me, the pics on the website do not do it justice, it is just GRAND!!)  I looked around for the girls from the list, but I didn't know who I was looking for, or what they looked like! YIKES I really hope next time (Listen to me, NEXT TIME!!! I'm planning it already!! LOL} that I can meet the girls, that would be so fun! It just went WAY too fast, it was so incredible, I MUST do it again! And I know I am forgetting details, if I remember more, I'll post them later. There was so much packed into that hour & 20 minutes! Totally entertaining, just a blast! Good show, good show!!!!  Well, enjoy the pics, what little I have!! lol (I am SUCH a rotten photographer!) But hey, it was wonderful & I got a few good shots....I must go to bed now before I drop, I am absolutely BEAT!! God, I dunno how David does it! I'm exhausted from travelling and watching the show...... shit, he IS THE SHOW and probably has jetlag on top of it all! The man is truly amazing, for lack of a better word. He's just so...DAVID!!! LOLOL Have a great night everybody, and thanks for listening to my ramblings! AAAAHHHHHHH, it's great to no longer be a DC virgin!! LMAO

Lots of DC Luv,
Beth
