Bittersweet Longing
Christel

the gentle slurring in his voice
leads me into contented slumber
i see him always in my dreams
his light eyes reflected in a tapestry of blues
i can't look away..i want to stay asleep
asleep where i can look at this earth angel
his halo invisible to the naked eye
but i see it...of course i see it
the longing inside to touch him
for only just breif moments
an interlude, with a sweet song in the background on loop
my fingers intertwined with his
until no finger can be matched with the hand...for they mold
together
my heart feels heavy, when i think of how we haven't met
it makes me want to weep..to sob..
