CHAPTER 5

I kissed Jack with all of the passion that I had left in my body. My head swam but when I finally regained my senses, I pushed him away.

"What do you think you're doing?!" I screamed

"Me? What are you talking about?!"

"Why did you just kiss me?!"

"You kissed me, Lexy! Not the other way around!"

"I would not kiss you! I hate you!"

"Okay, whatever. I'm tired of fighting with you. I just want to tell you what really happened between Dakota and I."

"This should be good. Fine, go ahead. Tell me what happened that night."

"Well-" and the door swung open.

"What are you both doing in here?!" Miss Wright fumed.

"Well, um, Miss Wright, uh, we, um, got locked in here. I said frightened.

"You expect me to believe that? How stupid do you think I am? Please!" She blasted. "I'm sick of you both kissing everywhere. You both make me sick! I better not see you two together again! Now get out!"

We both didn't need to be asked twice. When we both left the school and we were walking to my house, Miss Wright's words rang in my head. Something about what she said didn't make sense but I couldn't quite figure it out. Then it hit me.

"Jack, you know how Miss Wright said that she was sick of us kissing everywhere and everything?"

"Yeah, so." he said still obviously hurt.

"Miss Wright didn't come to Millington until the day after we broke up."

"Wow, I never thought of it that way."

"How could she have seen us together if we weren't?"

"I dont know." He said confused.

"Oh My God, Jack! She's been watching us! I mean, it's the only answer!."

A few minutes later, we were at my house. We saw Gabe and Jen on the steps waiting for us.

"Hey guys! How's it goin'?" Jen asked hoping that her plan had worked.

"If I wasn't scared to death of Miss Wright right now, I would want to kill you!" I said very angry.

"I'm guessing that it didn't go too well." Gabe said. Jack and I just glared at him.

When we got in my house, we went straight to my room to look on the computer. Jack did his thing on the internet and found out more information on Miss Wright/Madison Hall. We found out that she kidnapped her older sister, Jamie Hall and her ex-boyfriend, Shane Marx because after Shane broke up with Madison he fell in love with Jamie. Apparently, Madison got mad and kidnapped them but at different times. Then, Jack looked both of them up in the phone book and got their addresses.

We all realized it was getting late so we decided to go see them tomorrow. After Jen and Gabe went home, Jack was still there.

"So, uh, Jack. It's getting late. You should probably get home before you worry your mom."

"Oh, yeah. Right. Lexy, I never got to tell you the whole Dakota story."

"Look Jack, I really dont want to hear it right now. It just isn't a good time."

"Right. Sorry. I'm gonna go." He said painfully.

"Okay. Well, I'll see you tomorrow." I said politely.

"Bye." he said and then he walked out. After I finished my homework, I couldn't stop thinking about Jack. I decided to take a walk to clear my mind. I put on my jacket and headed out the door. I started walking along the streets looking into the the windows of my favorite shops. I then felt like someone was following me but I decided to brush it off. I mean, there was a lot of people in Manhattan and they did take walks at night. When I saw my favorite store I stopped and put my head up to the window and peered through. I got so caught up looking at the new displays of clothes that I didn't notice what was going on around me. Before I knew it, someone grabbed me and but their hand around my mouth to cover my screams and I fainted.

The next thing I remember, I was waking up in some strange place that I had never seen before and was tied up in some chair.

"Rise and shine, sleepyhead" A familiar voice said........ To be continued!
