This is the story of Chad Winters, handsome, penniless and ruthless. To get rich quick, he hits upon a plan to charm Vestal Shelley, heiress to the Shelley millions, and finally marry her. He is aided in this plan by his girlfriend, Glorie. However, after the marriage, Glorie is quickly forgotten by Chad. Vestal is a plain Jane, with a vicious temper, but she really loves Chad. Once married to Vestal, Chad finds himself unable to share their marriage bed, because Vestal's looks physically repel him. So his roving eyes fall on Eve Dolan, Vestal's secretary. Eve is a sultry beauty, who hides her good looks because she thinks Vestal will not tolerate her otherwise. Eve and Chad cook up another plan to have Vestal murdered so Chad can inherit the Shelley estate. Only Chad overplays his hand here. The police are hot on his tail. And he is not the beneficiary of Vestal's will. Of course, Eve has a boyfriend, Larry, hidden away, and she has her own secret agenda.........
