until his death in 1901. Jim Cowell is buried in the Union Hill, Cemetery,
in Jasper, Newton County, Arkansas.
He was married to Mazy JORDAN (daughter
of Moses JORDAN and Martha LILES) on 14 Jan
1841 in Benton County, Tennessee. Mazy JORDAN
(photo) was born on 1 Jan 1823 in Wake County, North Carolina. She died
on 15 Aug 1893 in Benton County, Tennessee. James (Jim) COWELL and Mazy JORDAN
