COURTENEY COX ARQUETTE reprises her role as the slick, stylish, ambitious Gale Weathers, the television reporter who now has her own show, "Total Entertainment," and her own website, www.galeweathers.com. Gale is at the pinnacle of her career and the breaking news on the "Stab 3" set could take her career to a brand new level.

Cox Arquette made her acting debut on the daytime drama "As the World Turns," but got her first big break later that year when she was cast by director Brian DePalma in Bruce Springsteen's music video "Dancing in the Dark."

Cox Arquette earned fame for her role as Monica Geller on the vastly popular sitcom "Friends," where she is in her sixth season. Previously, her most memorable television series role was that of Lauren, Alex P. Keaton's (Michael J. Fox) girlfriend in "Family Ties." Regular series roles in "Misfits of Science" and "The Trouble with Larry" followed.

On film, Cox Arquette starred in the box-office hit "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective," opposite Jim Carrey. She then played a bitchy reporter in the hit thriller Scream, before starring in 1997 romantic comedy "Commandments," with Aidan Quinn and Anthony LaPaglia. She was reunited with Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Jamie Kennedy in the 1997 sequel Scream 2 . Other film credits include "Cocoon: The Return," "Mr. Destiny," "Blue Desert," "Shaking The Tree" and Miramax's "The Opposite Sex."

Cox Arquette stars in the upcoming "Alien Love Triangle," with Kenneth Branagh and Heather Graham and "The Shrink is In," with husband David Arquette.

On stage, Cox Arquette starred in "King of Hearts" at the Tiffany Theater in Los Angeles.

Cox Arquette is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. She moved to New York City after her high school graduation and started her career as a model. She was "People" magazine's 1995 cover girl for the "50 Most Beautiful People" issue. She recently married "Scream" costar David Arquette whom she met during the film's production.
