Bernhardt Theodore Hans Boysen was born May 9, 1897 in Otter Creek, Iowa. He enlisted in the Army September 4, 1918. He was commonly referred to as "Barney". He and Martha Emma Lehfeldt were married April 9, 1921. They moved to Grand Island, Nebraska in 1943. Barney passed away on December 6, 1956 in Grand Island. He is buried in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

There were 4 children. Since 3 children are still living, there names will not be published without their consent.
