On Friday December 18 the league leading Kingston City Cougars came to the Si Miller Arena
for a 9 o'clock game against the Royals. Devon Eveleigh was in nets for Cornwall. Dale Fergeson Was out with a knee injury. After a
first period of end to end action no team was able to score. In the second the Cougars took
a 1 to nothing lead on a rebound that just beat Devon. It was 1-0 for Kingston after 2.
Early in the third Kingston scored on a shot from the point which Devon was screened on. Then as
Cornwall was starting to make the game interesting Andrew Banville was assessed a very questionable
ten minute misconduct when in the second period the ref let a holding the stick that was right in front of him go.
With their top center in the box until 20 seconds left Cornwall was unable to score but they were
able to put some pressure on the Cougars and forcing their goalie to make a few difficult saves.

Sunday December 20
The Cornwall Royals were in tough against a strong team the Kingston Township Titans. The puck dropped at 2:30 in Maxville. The Royals came out flat footed thinking of Christmas or something like that. The first period was a hard battle leaving the Royals behind 1-0. Keeping their determination not to give up in the second failed. The Royals finished the second period 5-1. The game finished with a score of 8-2 one the Royals would like to forget. Marc Lapointe stopped 42 shots. Merry christmas Royals. The first game after the break will be against the Osgoode Rideau Senators.

Monday January,4
The Cornwall Royals payed a visit to the Osgoode Rideau Senators. The Royals were in tough
against a team who have beaten them twice in the past. With strong determination and great
goaltending from Devon Eveleigh the Royals came out on top with a score of 5-3. Devon stopped 45 of
the 49 shots to earn a first star in the game.

Start of the Lasal Tournament
The Royals lost their first game in a shootout 2-1.
The second game the Royals came out on top 4-2.
The third game the Royals won 3-2 in a close game all the way.
In overtime the Royals lost to College Francais 5-4. Congradulations Royals for a tournament well played.
Friday January,8
The Royals came home for their second game in a double header on Friday. The Carleton
Place Caps came to the Si Miller Arena for a 9:00 game. The Royals outpowered the young Caps
team and came out on top 6-3. Devon Eveleigh had a strong game in goal.

Friday January,20
The Royals travelled to Cumberland. Every game the Royals play from now on are big games if
they want to see the playoffs. The Royals were in tough with goals going back and fourth from
each team. The Royals scored with 20 seconds left to tie the game 5-5.
