As much as possible I try to avoid playing the typical songs that most bands over play. The last thing an audience needs to hear for the 100th time again is another bar band playing "You Really Got Me" or "Road House Blues". Some musicians will respond with "To get gigs, you should play tunes people recognize." I agree, but does it always have to be the same 30 tunes? How are you going to stand out from all the other bands out there, if you're playing the same songs as them? How much better can you possibly play "Mustang Sally" than anyone else? There are lots of great songs waiting to be played, that most bands don't, or just can't do...Although the bottom line is you can play whatever you want, as long as you can do it well. Here are some of the cover songs I've played. Click on the following links to see each list.
