Pay me? What? You thought that I built this site just for fun? Don't worry, I'm sure we can arrange something...
Time is $$$ - You get what you pay for - It costs to be the boss - Hey that guitarist is pretty good, you should stick with him!

  • GUITARIST with a BAND: Most decent bands average $400 or more per night. So split between 4 people on a local gig (if I know most of the songs) then that's OK, as I get about $100 a night playing solo.

    But if I have to learn a bunch of obscure songs & drive an hour to divide $300 between 4 or 5 other musicians, a soundman & an agent, then I'd be lucky to clear $50. Is that worth the effort for me? $50? Gee, that's almost enough for a down payment on a ukulele, or to get my cat neutered... I must *really* like playing, 'cause I sure haven't been doin' it for the $ so far... I'll play for less, just as long as it's an easy gig & I'm not put out of my way.
    (will not play grunge, metal, rap, or with boozers, stoners, screamers, mood swingers, or cranky PMS queens)

  • SOLO ACOUSTIC GUITARIST/SINGER: $100 or more per night. Click HERE for my solo repertoire.

  • GUITARIST for RECORDING SESSIONS: $100 average base rate per song. Fee may vary according to band/artist, style, budget, # of songs, time involved & if used for a CD release. All production & arrangement agreements are to include a percentage of final product marketed. Will work on spec for the right project.

  • SONGWRITER - MUSIC, LYRICS, MELODIES: There are too many variables for this to quote a price. It doesn't matter how good a singer you are or how great your band is, without some *really* good songs you won't have much of a career. The standard fee for having a song included on a CD are 7-1/2 cents per song if I write everything by myself. That's really peanuts & I'm not an elephant, SO... I'd insist on all songwriting agreements to include a percentage of final product marketed. Will work on spec for the right project.

  • INSTRUMENTAL SOUNDTRACKS, FOR MOVIES, JINGLES, TRADE/PROMO FILMS:
    Having the proper music can drastically alter the mood of a film, adding a few hit songs doesn't hurt a films chances for success either. That I already have a large repertoire of completed instrumental & vocal songs will make the selection go faster as well. There are too many variables for this to quote a price. All soundtrack agreements are to include a percentage of final product marketed. Will work on spec for the right project.

  • GUITAR REPAIR/MAINTENANCE/MODIFICATION: Price will vary according to needs. Basic set-up: adjusting neck, bridge, correcting minor fret buzz, etc is about $20. Other specialties: Modification of effects pedals, re-wiring guitars to reduce noise, allowing pick-ups to switch from humbucking/single coil, filling frets.

  • MUSIC LESSONS: $25 per hour. guitar, bass, keyboard, voice (non smokers), sound engineering.
    Is music a part big part of your life? Always wanted to play in a band but can't figure out that chord, riff or sound? If you're serious about learning & willing to practice every day, then I can show you how it's done.

  • BAND CONSULTATION: $20 per hour, 3 hour MINIMUM rate (plus expenses). Many younger bands need help getting their sound & presentation together. This can involve many things. But an experienced professional musician can save months of work, pointing out weak spots & offer immediate solutions, saving 1000's of $ in the long run. Allowing a band to sound/look better & perform sooner.

  • SOUND MAN: MINIMUM $100 or more for basic set-up & 1st night. $60 or more per night after set-up. Fee may be less if only involved for basic set up, &/or audio consultation. Will not move heavy equipment.

  • WEB-PAGE DESIGN: $100 minimum base rate, more if you want me to maintain it every month.

  • BAND PHOTOS: $100 minimum base rate (plus expenses), negatives stay in my possession. Reprint fee will vary according to: size, color or black & white, # of prints.

  • BAND LOGOS: $100 minimum base rate (plus expenses), fees will vary according to each bands needs. All original artwork stays in my possession.

  • RECORDING ENGINEER: $10 to $20 per hour. Fee may vary according to band/artist, style, budget, number of songs, time involved & if used for a CD release. All production & arrangement agreements are to include a percentage of final product marketed. Will work on spec for the right project.

  • PRODUCER/ARRANGER: $100 minimum base rate per song, 3 song minimum. Fee may vary according to band/artist, style, budget, # of songs, time involved & if used for a CD release. All production & arrangement agreements are to include a percentage of final product marketed. Will work on spec for the right project.

    *NOTE*: Any loss/damage to my equipment/personal belongings, are to be paid for by the band in whose
    employment I may be in. Expenses for my employment, IE: transport, lodgings, meals, etc, are to be discussed.
