TIGERBLUE are a band fusing elements of: 70's - ROCK, 80's - FUNK & 90's - JAZZ, blended with subtle PROGRESSIVE influences to form their own unique sound. The songs are always melodic & accessible, yet musically challenging in structure & chord voicing. Altering from driving funk/rock groves to airy hypnotic textures, contrasting dynamics & a high level of musicianship are an expected mainstay of any Tigerblue performance.

What makes their sound so full for just 3 musicians, are their individual arrangements for guitar & bass & use of vocal harmonies. But don't let the name confuse you. Although there are certain blue(s) elements to their name & music, they are definitely not "just" a blues band!

Formed by guitarist/songwriter & vocalist Michael Taer in the 90's & initially inspired by 70's rock & progressive groups like LED ZEPPELIN, HEART & YES, his goal was to create music that stood out from mainstream radio, yet remained accessible to the average listener.

To compare their sound to established artists, a blend of:
-the Rock side of BRYAN ADAMS & POWER STATION
-the improvised elements of CREAM & JIMI HEDRIX
-the Jazz/Funk side of JEFF BECK, STING & PRINCE
-the more atmospheric touches of PINK FLOYD & U-2
