What the Number 1 Fan Has to Say:

3/12/01 - I thought I had finished my last piece of little talk for the year here on the girls basketball team until next season, but whoa..hold on..wait...HUGE NEWS!!! Coach Millionaire Finch, Resigned from her post as crappy coach. I can say that now since she is no longer affiliated with Penn Manor!! Hey, I'm not saying she was a bad person or anything, but man when it came to making game plans, she stunk. Now hopefully Mr. Mummau and the school board and whoever else, will bring in a NEW face that will bring in some new ideas and help the Girls Basketball program continue to get better. This year was a nice start, but next year we're hoping for more the same and more!!! I'll still be there cheering next year, and I'll probably be much happier now that we've got a change comming. I'm interested to see who they bring in. If your interested in becoming a coach for the Girls Penn Manor Basketball Team, then send Mr. Mummau an email or contact the school. These girls are a good and talented bunch. They make basketball fun to watch.

3/6/01 - Well I've finally gotten around to saying my last bit on this year's Girls Basketball Season. We were happy to see the girl qualify for Districts and play a very good first half. Unfortunatly, they couldn't run with Central Dauphin all night and lost, thus ending their season. However they impressed many, includidng me. We'll all be expecting big things from this crew next year. Maggie will be missed, but there are many younger kids that are ready to step it up. Sheena is working her hardest to slam dumk for us next year, and the girl will try to get further next year. The coaching once again this year was less then spactular, but I'm not a coach so I guess I shouldn't comment. I just think it sucks certian people didn't play very much just cause they're actually athletic, but hey I'll live. Congrats again to the girls on a great season and I look forward to next year.              Click here for Picture from that District Night!

2/2/01 - Well, the girls played thier final home game tonight. Quite sad, I enjoy the girl basketball season. I couldn't think of what to write on my sign, but that's not important. The girls played Hempfield and played okay. Should have won but came up short. Part of the problems were the refs, calling all kinds of stupid shit, but I'm not complaining. Sheena played well, and we were happy to see Bonnie and Mindy get in, even if it wasn't for that long....hey it was long enough for us to get thier pictures. I'll be expecting big things from the girls next year, including a slam dunk by Sheena....you better train hard girl!

1/26/01 - Well, the Number 1 Fan has finally gotten time to write about the girls again. Where to begin??? Last week, or sometime, I can't remember, the girls played a very good game verse Ephrata. With the score tied at 49, Melissa hit a freethrow in final seconds to give the Comets the 50-49 win..... .Click HERE for EPHRATA PICTURES................... Now on to tonight's contest with Manhiem Township. The Comets, fought and fought and were killing Township forever, but in typical fashion for no other reason than to raise my blood pressure the Comets slowly let the Streaks come back. Township tied it up at one point, but finally the girls shut Township down and won. Sheena seemed happy, she did a cart-wheel.     Oh Editors NOTE: Bonnie played today. We were happy to see that. I guess Coach Millionare saw that the #1 fan's Fav Number is 22 and thus we saw Bon Bon play tonight. We hope we see that a lot more often, but since I'm not a coach, I don't get to help this woman with her logic (coach, not Bon). Good job tonight Bonnie and the rest of the Girls B-Ball team!

1/14/01 - The other night our Comets Took on McCaskey. The girls played well most of the game, doing so without Heather Wiess. Down as many as 8 in the second quarter, the girls never gave up, hitting 18 foul shots down the stretch and beating McCaskey 65-61. Was a Nice 17th Birthday Present for my girl Sheena! ......Althought I'm still wondering where Bonnie's at, but that's another topic.

12/20/00 - This is one page I plan to keep updated since I try to make as many games as possible. Eventually if I ever get a digital Camera I will update it with a few pics too, until then it will just be quick recaps and my feeling on thier play. It may be harsh or not sugar coated at times, but that's because I know they're good and I hold them to a higher standard.

12/19/00 - After jumpin out to a 20-10 lead in the first quarter of play verse Warwick (Ranked in News 8's Great 8 Poll) the Comets fell victum of thier own play. Bad passes, sloppy defense, and fouls did the Comets in. The girls showed great heart in the second half coming from almost 20 points down at one time to close the gap to 4. But After Melissa and Sheena fouled out, the Comets charge ended, losing by 11.
