**UPDATE FEBRUARY 2013**
Hi there,
I'm a 33-year-old Colorado Springs native.
It's hard to describe me... but one thing needs to be said. I'm not your typical female. I'm a complex kind of person... someone who enjoys intelligent conversation but still knows how to have fun. I have a really hard time summarizing myself, but I'll do my bestest... without this turning into some kind of dopey novel. I absolutely love the mountains/outdoors/nature yadda yadda and I HATE shopping for clothes and shoes... but I could spend hours in office supply stores, thrift stores, art stores and Home Depot. Lol. I'm a tomboy... but I clean up nicely... but I don't spend 2.8 hours in front of the mirror everyday.
I'm a reader and a writer, an artist, a musician... I snowboard, love to work on cars and I believe in God- but NOT organized religion. After all- we were told to simply believe. Not to become Baptists, Protestants, Catholics, Buddhists, Unitarians, LDSers, and so on. Man was the one who instigated all the rules, and It’s done naught but create discord since the beginning of it all.
I LOVE playing pool, and I'm a karaoke junkie. I find it hard to describe 'who' I am- because I consider myself a very complex person... but all in all I'm very loyal to my friends, extremely trusting and trustworthy, and I've got a love of life that not many people have these days. I'm a deep thinker, but I'm not so deep that I can't find my way around a sense of humor- if you catch what I'm saying.
I'm allergic to alcohol- so I rarely drink- and if I do, it's just a dark beer and that's it. I inherited that allergy from my Grandmother and my mom¦ and although my throat won't swell closed like theirs, I'd just as soon not experience the effects that it does bring to me. Not that I mind much¦ I don't enjoy the feeling of being drunk- nor the side effects, so I'm content being the designated driver.
I'd like to call myself an occasional smoker- and I've been known to make a pack of smokes last anywhere from 45 minutes (if I'm bumming to everyone and their grandma) to 2 weeks... depending on my mood. Unfortunately, I can't stop ˜enjoying' that darn cancer stick¦ I've managed to stop my 24 yearlong habit of biting my nails with its help. So- until I find something else more soothing to occupy my time, I'll have to risk the dangers of that evil plant.
I'm about 5'2"-5'3", average weight, extremely long auburn hair that changes color depending on the season, and hazel/light brown eyes. My nationalities are a blend of Swiss and Japanese, although I've been told that I look Hispanic, native American, and Eskimonian (whatever that means.)
I love the blend of my blood, though, because not only do I have the best of a variety of foods, but I also have some wonderful cultures that I'm proud to be part of. With the Swiss in me, I have the lifelong right to declare myself "neutral" regardless the subject in question. I also have an insatiable fondness for exotic chocolates, great throat lozenges, and popular famous singing families that have movies about them to be proud of. With the Japanese, I have honor, beautiful artwork and extremely interesting looking foods. I have japanime, kinky bedroom tricks and glorified harlots. not that these things are only what I represent¦ but it's interesting to think about my wide spectrum of interesting parts.
I have a son who just turned eight years old. He's sooo smart, and every single day he blows me away with something else that I had no idea he could do. Like, once at Target, when he was three, we were pursuing the video game area, and he pointed to a game with Donkey Kong on the front cover- and said, "That's Diddy and Don-dee Kong!" I have no idea where he saw the latter old-school character, nor do I know from where he was able to derive who Diddy Kong is- but it's things like that which make me so completely happy to be a mom.
Till Later-
Me.
**UPDATE 10/14/05** Wow... it's been nearly 4 years since I've worked on this ancient website of mine. I would like to thank everyone who signed my guestbook. It's very fulfilling to see the proof that I've been able to share part of myself with total strangers.
It's been slow going, just fyi. I had this bizzare idea that my site would be like... 'da-bomb' and that I'd be flooded with visitors and their opinions. That people were just on pins and needles to read what I have to say.
*blink blink* BOOOOY was I wrong.
In the first 2 years I had a total of 3 people visit my site... only cause I told 'em to... and I ended up removing the page-hit counter... because it was just depressing to see how un'da-bomb' my site was appearing.

Hi, my name's Laura, and if you're seeing this: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
This is my first attempt at a real webpage, that anyone would actually see,
and I'm quite pleased with it.
"Who am I?" you are probably wondering. I'm a 27 year old living in boring but beautiful Colorado Springs.
I have the unfortunate professional title of Credit Card Collector- and it's not too bad. So long as people pay me.
Hmm- what to say. I'm always up for an adventure
(had quite a few myself, if you've read my True Stories
page) and I'm incredibly spontaneous. I love camping,
and the great outdoors. I'm a sucker for animals,
and I enjoy laughing tremendously.
