“Jen would you get your ass down here. The red dress looks fine and your hair and makeup are flawless. It doesn’t get much better, dearest,” Rayna called upstairs. She sat impatiently on the bottom step, tapping her foot. The biggest party of the year and they were already an hour late. Rayna had finished getting ready thirty minutes ago. She sat in her black leather pants and red velvet tank top that tied up the front, contemplating another coat of mascara.
“Well, how do I look?” Rayna turned around to see Jen smoothing out her dress at the top of the stairs.
“Great. Let’s go!”
Jen and Rayna ran out to Jen’s black convertible.
“Rayna, you left the top down, the wind will mess up my hair.”
“Oh Jen, everyone will be too drunk to care.”
“If you say so, but you drive. I can’t in these shoes.”
“Fine, whatever. Just get in the fucking car already.”
Rayna shoved the key in the ignition and started the car. She revved the engine and put on her sunglasses. She smiled at Jen and put the car in reverse. She backed out of the driveway and the tires squeeled as she turned into the lane.
“Light me a cigarette, would you babe?”
“You know you should really stop,” Jen chastised, as she put the cigarette in her mouth and lit it. She blew the smoke out and passed the cigarette to Rayna.
“And you should really stop fucking the soccer team, but neither of us will.” Rayna winked at Jen and they both fell into gales of laughter. Rayna puffed on the cigarette as they sped through the neighborhood streets, the music being periodically turned up.
They pulled up in front of the huge house, teenagers swarmed aroung the property. Rayna tossed Jen the keys and hopped out of the car without opening the door. Rayna took one last drag and put the cigarette out with her boot. Jen demurely exited the car and was imediately grabbed by Mr. All-American himself, Scott Wiley, captain of the soccer team.
“Hey baby,” he whispered between kisses on her neck.
“Hi, Scott, look I’ll find you later, okay.” Jen dimissed Scott with a peck on the cheek.
“Done with him already,” Rayna raised an eyebrow at Jen.
“I met this cute stoner the other day and I thought he’d be good for a few laughs, so to speak.”
“Ah-oh, I thought you only dated jocks and preps, are we expanding our horizons?”
“You must be rubbing off on me Ray.” Jen smiled at Rayna and Rayna laughed.
“It’s about time.”
They weren’t two steps into the door before they had boys at their sides.
“Mutt,” Jen purred at the boy who appeared at her side.
“Zeke, baby,” Rayna spun around and kissed him passionately. She pulled away and licked her lips. “Mmm, you holding, baby?”
“No, but Mutt is.”
“Is he going to share?”
“We were about to ask you two if you wanted to go upstairs?”
“Mmm, okay,” Rayna kissed Zeke again. “Jen, you up for it?”
“Definitely.” Mutt took Jen’s hand and led her up the stairs, Rayna and Zeke followed. They found an empty room at the end of the hall. They sat in a circle on a king size bed. Mutt produced a joint and lit it.
Now general stoner etiquette would dictate that the supplier took the first hit, but under the circumstances Jen got the first hit. Jen inhaled lightly, she was never a big drug user. She passed it back to Mutt who took a hit and passed it on to Zeke.
“Here, Ray Ray, you first,” he leaned over Rayna and put the jiont to her lips. Rayna took it from him and took a deep drag, while Zeke kissed her neck. She held it for a moment and then exhaled slowly, as she closed her eyes and leaned her head back. She could hear Jen giggling and whispering coyly to Mutt, it was almost like music. She felt Zeke’s lips and tongue on her neck, ears, and chin, velvety and warm. She opened her eyes slowly and surveyed Mutt and Zeke.
These were her kind of guys, baggy pants, skin tight shirts showing off their slim and slightly muscular torso and arms, shaggy hair, deep eyes, smelling of pot and that certain something that only boys smelled like. These were the kind of boys who really knew how to make love to a girl. It’s hard to believe but they really did. Not like Jen’s type, who took about three minutes to finish and didn’t believe in foreplay. Sure they were ruggedly handsome, reliable, and had a promising future, but what fun was that. Rayna had tried that before and she didn’t like it.
That’s how she and Jen had met, they were cheerleaders together freshman year, but they took different paths through school. Rayna stopped cheerleading and started hanging out with the stoners, while Jen went on to be voted head cheerleader. Still, she was an outcast by default, she hung out with Rayna, it was well known that she was a slut, and she had a thing for soccer players not football players. So thier relationship had survived, blossomed even, despite the odds.
Rayna never saw Zeke take a hit, but she knew he did, nor did she see where the joint went. Zeke continued to kiss her everywhere, trying his hardest to get her attention. He was a sweet boy, so attentative and caring. He’d do anything for Rayna and she knew it. So, even though she didn’t love him, she had been seeing him exclusively for the past year and a half. Love didn’t really matter to her just then and if it mattered to Zeke, well he certainly didn’t show it.
Rayna watched as Mutt and Jen began to kiss more intensly across the bed. Mutt’s hand slowly slid up Jen’s leg to her thigh, that was Rayna’s cue.
“Come on, baby, let’s go find a room of our own, huh?” she whispered in Zeke’s ear.
“Whatever you want, Ray Ray.” Zeke stood up and helped Rayna up. They found another room, but it appeared to be occupied. Rayna walked right in to find four girls giggling and chatting.
“Get the fuck out of here,” Rayna said sternly. All four girls jumped and ran from the room. Rayna had earned the reputation of being a violent bitch, but really she was just a bitch. Rayna pulled Zeke in and shut and locked the door behind him.
“Jesus Rayna,” Zeke began.
“Oh shut up and kiss me,” so he did. He kissed her gently, sucking on her lower lip. Their lips parted slowly and they began to explore each other’s mouths. Rayna’s knees began to quake and she felt her skin flush with pleasure. She pulled him toward the bed, while he continued to pepper her with kisses. Rayna got him to the edge of the bed and began to tug at the bottom of Zeke’s shirt. She stopped kissing him long enough to pull the shirt over his head. Rayna kissed his neck and shoulders. She loved the way his skin felt, so smooth and soft.
Zeke pulled her up to his mouth, trying to get another taste of her. He untied her tank top and pulled it over her head. She fell back on the bed, beckoning him to follow. He pulled off the rest of her clothes and then stradled her. He began to kiss and caress her entire body, teasing her, tantalizing her. She ached for him, but he continued to touch her and taste her.
Finally, she couldn’t stand it anymore and she pulled him up to kiss her. She undid his pants and grabbed the foil package from his front packet.
“Well?” Rayna asked as she and Jen snuck into the bathroom for a quick gossip session.
“Oh my god, why didn’t you tell me?” Jen sighed dreamily and leaned against the wall.
“I did tell you. Hundreds of times, you idiot.” Rayna rolled her eyes, and turned to the mirror to fix her hair.
“He was so, so, it was just...” Jen looked up searching for the right word.
“Amazing. Fabulous. Great. Good.” Rayna searched Jen’s expression for a moment. “Perfect.”
“That’s it. It was perfect. He was perfect.” Rayna smiled at Jen and turned to the door.
“Come on, dear, let’s not leave them waiting.”
Rayna grabbed Jen’s hand and walked her out of the bathroom. They walked out into a room alive with music and people. Rayna scanned the room of jostling people for Mutt and Zeke.
“Ray Ray.” Rayna turned to the sound of Zeke’s voice and ran to him. She jumped into his arms, he picked her up and spun her around.
“Zeke, put me down,” Rayna said through her laughter. Zeke let her slowly slide down his body. “Baby, we want to dance, huh Jen?”
“Yeah. Come on Mutt, let’s dance,” Jen purred, as she snuggled against him.
“We don’t dance,” Mutt stated firmly.
“All right,” Jen sighed, but then winked at Rayna. “Well then, come watch us dance.”
“Okay,” Mutt shrugged.
They went into the living room, where the music was. Rayna and Jen walked into the crowd of thrashing bodies and began to dance together. All the guys in the room were watching them, including the soccer player Jen had blown off earlier. He slowly made his way through the crowd, ending up next to Jen.
“Jen, come up stairs with me.”
“Not tonight Scott.”
“Yes tonight.”
“No. Maybe I’ll see you tomorrow okay.”
“No, I want to see you now.” He grabbed Jen’s wrist, causing her to stop dancing. Rayna, who had been dancing with her back to them up to this point, spun around.
“She said not tonight, Scott.”
“Back off, Rayna, this has nothing to do with you.” Zeke and Mutt noticed something happening and moved in closer.
“Scott, it’s a party, everybody’s having fun, don’t ruin it.” Rayna put her hand on Scott’s wrist.
“Fuck off, slut.” He threw Rayna’s hand off and began to pull Jen through the crowd.
Rayna let them get about two feet away and then she yelled, “Scott.”
“What?” he said angrily as he turned around. Once he was facing her, Rayna hit him hard. Seh was about to hit him again when Zeke grabbed her from behind. Mutt grabbed Jen and ran her through the party to her car.
“Rayna, come on,” Zeke whispered, urging her towards the door. She looked up and realized that half the room had seen what just happened. She let Zeke lea her to the car, where Mutt and Jen were already in the back. Rayna and Zeke got in and they sped off.
“Rayna, honey, I know you’re pissed, but you need to slow down,” Jen coaxed.
“Sorry,” Rayna said, letting up off the gas.
“Jesus Rayna, we were coming over to stop you from getting hurt, not to stop you from hurting someone else,” Zeke said with a laugh. They all suddenly found the humor in it and busted up laughing.
Rayna drove Mutt and Zeke to Mutt’s house, promising to call them the next day. Rayna and Jen went back to Jen’s house.
“God, I’m exhausted,” Rayna sighed, as they walked in.
“Me too. I just want a hot shower and a warm bed.”
“Sounds good to me.” They went upstairs an undressed.
“You can use my shower, I’ll use my parent’s.”
“All right.”
“Hey. You want to have a good old fashioned slumber party and sleep in my parent’s bed tonight.”
“Sure.”
Rayna went n and started the shower. She got in and took a nice, long, hot shower. She got out and wrapped a towel around herself. She wiped the steam off the mirror and looked at herself for a moment. She suddenly realized how errily quiet it was. She opened the door and wlked out into Jen’s room.
“Jen?”
No answer. Rayna walked out into the hall.
“Jen?” she called a bit louder.
Still no answer.
Rayna walked into the master bedroom and saw Jen unconcious on the floor.
“Oh my god, Jen.” Before she could move to Jen, someone picked her up and threw her down on the floor by Jen. Her attacker then stradled her and covered her mouth with his hand.
“Don’t scream or I will cut you,” he threatened, brandishing a knife. He took his hand off her mouth and Rayna lay frozen in terror.
“I don’t know the combo to the safe. This isn’t even my house,” Rayna said slowly.
“I don’t want that.” He undid Rayna’s towel and ran his hand slowly down her body. He unfastened his pants and Rayna closed her eyes.
“Please don’t,” she begged.
“Shh.” She clenched her teeth and imagined she was anywhere but there, while he raped her. She pretended to be passed out when he finished. He lifted her hand and she let it fall like a dead weight. “Such a pretty girl. It is really too bad that I’m going to have to kill you, but not yet. I must have a little fun with your friend first.”
Rayna opened one of her eyes a little, once she felt him get off of her. She saw him on top of Jen, who was still unconcious. Then she saw the knife laying on the floor right next to her. She slowly moved her hand up to the knife. She knew what she had to do, whether she wanted to or not. She picked up the knife, sat up and shoved it into her attackers back. He reeled up and then fell back down on top of Jen.
Rayna pushed the body off of Jen and stood up gingerly. She got a robe from the bathroom and put it on. She grabbed the phone by the bed and a blanket. She covered Jen up and sat down next to her and dialed 911.
“911 emergency.”
“Hello. My friend and I have been raped and I just killed the attacker.”
“Ma’am, what is your name?”
“Rayna Hanolin, but we’re at my friends house. The Murphy’s. 9151 Oak Circle. Please hurry. We are upstairs and she’s unconcious.” Rayna dropped the phone and put her hand on Jen’s head. She brushed the hair out of Jen’s eyes and began to cry. “It’ll be all right, Jen. I promise. The police are coming, they’ll help. Stay with me Jen. It’ll be okay,” Rayna said through her tears. The police busted down the door and came running upstairs.
