Welcome to Rampart's Chapel.
May God bless all who enter here.
The chapel is open 24 hours a day, for reflection, meditation, and prayer. There is a Catholic Mass every morning at 8:00 am, performed by the visiting Catholic chaplain. The Protestant chaplain, Chuck Miller, has a nondenominational worship service at 10:00 am every Sunday.
There are Bibles on a rack against the wall behind the two rows of seats. There are several versions; feel free to read one of them if you would like to.
The English Standard Version (NOTE: This version didn't exist in the 1970's but it's far and away the best modern translation, IMHO)
The King James, or Authorized Version
The New International Version
The Douay-Rheims Version
NEW! Click here to go to ChristusRex to see the Lord's Prayer in 1102 different languages! For many of those languages, the site includes the Hail Mary and the Gloria as well.
A small room to the left of the chapel contains the chapel's library.
The books here have been loaned or donated, and you are welcome to read them and use them
for your comfort and spiritual growth. Please do not remove the books from the building, however, so other hospital visitors and patients may be able to use them. When you have finished with a book, please return it to the basket by the chapel door, and we will shelve it once more for others to use.

If you would like the chaplains to pray for you, or a relative or friend, you may write requests for prayer to the chaplains. There is a notebook and a pen on a stand in the rear of the chapel for this purpose.
