Captain Marvel was elected to become the new chairperson of the Avengers, who enjoyed the amenities of the Jarvis Lounge to gather up. Selecting an iconic group of former Avengers, Captain Marvel wished to preventively protect Earth. Their first battle was against Terminus, who ravaged Project: P.E.G.A.S.U.S. in search for an energy source. In the middle of the fight, Captain Marvel was transported through a disrupted black hole generator out of time and space only to meet Kang the Conqueror, who had just been lethally wounded by the Twilight Court, a group of heroes crafted by the mysterious Myrddin to access the so-called tribulation events and acquire the Missing Moment. Since Kang also wanted the Missing Moment as prize, he had plans of using an analogous superhero team, just like the Avengers, for his purposes.
