When Black Panther discovered a threat to the entire universe, he saw no option but to call together the Illuminati again, including former member Black Bolt and mutant scientist Beast, to deal with the threat. Professor X is not part of the call because he was killed at the end of the war between the Avengers and the X-Men. The Illuminati are later designed like the new team of New Avengers.
