Setrinian's story begins in another dimension, where an alien race tried to perfect themselves by experimentation. Their first experimentation grew faster than they could ever have expected, and their race was destroyed by it before they could stop it. It expanded throughout the universe, moving from planet to planet through a series of asteroid-like spores that would spread it's biological mass. The last surviving race knew there was no hope for their survival, so it sealed off all the exit points (worm holes and black holes) so that it couldn't spread any further. They did all they could, but a small portion made it through one of the worm holes before it closed. Due to the unstable nature of the collapsing wormhole, the portion was damaged and made dormant. As it floated through the universe, it smacked into the Heaven gate, taking with it the soul of an ethereal angel. The force of a newly awakened and powerful entity within the meteor trapped the angel (the angels name was Achron).

>>Both Heaven and hell have a gate in each universe that allows them to access that universe. In the past, whole universes have been destroyed in the conflicts. Both sides are practically equal, and both are terrified of being destroyed by the other, or destroying each other at the same time. Because of these facts, neither side has opened their gates in billions of years.<<

The meteor falls to Earth, where it comes into contact with Electron, allowing the now-reawakened cells and the soul of Achron enter his body. Achron remains trapped by the entity. At first, the entity had no personality due to the dormant cells. But, as Electron became an assassin, he forced everything negative that he experienced onto the entity, which he believed was another personality. It's actual personality was that of a "hive mind", a collection of all the minds it had absorbed. Eventually, it took control, and sated it's evil appetite as Electron watched helplessly. He took back control and forced the entity back. Later, Achron would be released at the hands of Pandorium. Later still, in order to save the AS, Electron does something that leads to him ending up on an escape pod, one that is later picked up by the last survivors of an alien race that were hunted down by a race of aliens. What they didn't know was that the hunter race had already died by a virus of their own invention. The survivors had searched for a being like Electron, one capable of powering the prototype, self-evolving nanomachines that they hoped to use for weapons and armor. They had traveled the universe collecting potential genetic materials to be used in their experiment. All of them failed because their DNA would not allow them to combine or absorb other materials. Electron was the exception, though, because of the entity's cells, which allowed it's genetic material to combine or absorb other materials, biological or not. To help the offenses of their test subject, they had used the genetic material from a body of a mutant from Earth with the power to create antimatter, and the body of an alien with strong telepathic/telekinetic powers. But, before they could install a personality they could control, Electron's body came back to life with the entity, but the entity had total control. It killed the crew and studied their research to learn about his new body. Then it found a dimension-hopping device in the ship. It used the device when it realized that it's body was still vulnerable and unevolved. It went to a dimension that had been destroyed by a battle between heaven and hell, leaving only empty space. It was here that Setrinian recreated Electron using it's own cells. But, having access to Electron's memories, it learned about Sizzle. Feeling Sizzle's immense power through the memories, Setrinian vied to surpass and defeat the super mutant. Then, Setrinian transferred Electron's mind into the body it had made and sent him back to Earth in an escape pod that was made to evaporate after landing.

Inside Electron's right eye was now a microscopic nanomachine that served as a recording device and transmitter that would send what Electron saw. As Setrinian evolved, it gained abilities, like the ability to jump between times and dimensions at will. The nanomachines also enabled themselves to create an antigravity field around Setrinian, allowing flight, and a protective shield. Setrinian continued to evolve until it finally gave itself the name Setrinian. It began to travel across time and space, growing more powerful until it was satisfied that only Sizzle could challenge him, so he traveled to a time slightly after Electron returned to the AS, having been sent there by Setrinian.
