Survey: Tamashiino Seishi

Name: Tamashiino Seishi

Birthday: November 12, 1975

Home: Funny how a one-word header can be so... depressing. To paraphrase Neil Diamond, Black Mountain, North Carolina and Japan are home--but not mine anymore. Beacon Harbor is it for the duration.

Eyes: Black.

Hair Color: Black.

Your Favorite TV Shows? Ironically, back when I watched TV, it was Gargoyles and Samurai Jack. There are certain parallels.

Your Mouse Pad? A guide to industral poisons. I'm not sure what became of the actual mousepad, and I'm not sure I want to know.

Your Screen Saver? Darkness there, and nothing more.

Favorite Color: Pale green. Jewel tones.

Least Favorite Color: Orange. Olive.

Favorite Hobbies: Seisuru is hardly a hobby. Reading, music, picking up after Holmes-sama, trying to keep the team's melodramatics to a minimum--though those last two are more along the lines of full-time jobs.

Favorite Boardgame: Trivial Pursuit. I lose, of course, but still.

Favorite Magazine: Analog.

Favorite Soundtrack:If I have to choose... probably The Scarlet Pimpernel, just for "Where's The Girl".

Favorite Smell: The clean, soapy smell after a good hot shower. Lavender and lemon grass. And I'm developing a disconcerting fondness for the smell of pipe smoke--though never, ever cigarettes.

Worst Feeling In The World: Uselessness. Letting my friends down.

Best Feeling In The World: Accomplishing a goal I've set. Praise from my friends.

Favorite Things To Do On Weekends: Read, soak up the music at Blue Notes, train, pester Holmes-sama into maybe setting foot outside the apartment.

One Item On Your List Of Things To Do Before You Die: Make a lasting change for the better here.

One Thing You Never Did In Childhood That You Wish You Had: Decked that kid in my eighth grade art class who kept pinching me. Just once.

One Vain Thing About Yourself Of Which You Are Proud: Keeping company with people like Holmes-sama and Lara is a lesson in humility, but I suppose it would be my common sense. There's a dearth of it around here.

Ultimate Vacation Spot/Most Interesting Place On Earth You’d Love To Visit: Honestly, I'd just like to go home.

What Is The First Thing You Think Of When You Wake In The Morning? Meditation for clarity and direction.
Or, if it's still dark out, "What is it this time?"

Do You Get Motion Sickness? Never.

Roller Coasters ~ Deadly Or Exciting? Exciting.

Pen Or Pencil? Pencil, unless the pen is a good one.

Dogs Or Cats? Dogs for reassurance, cats for humility.

Leave Messy Or Clean Up? Clean up. Sharing space with Holmes-sama makes it a frequent necessity.

How Many Rings Before You Answer The Phone? However many it takes me to find the phone--not that it's ever for me.

Future Son/Future Daughter’s Name? It wouldn't seem right to bring children into a world like this one.

Favorite Foods: Steak. Fresh fruit. Chocolate.

Do You Get Along With Your Parents? I did. Those pangs of regret sneak up and get you from behind, don't they?

Do You Make New Years Resolutions? Not really.

Have You Ever Been Convicted Of A Crime? Of course not.

Chocolate, Vanilla, or Strawberry? Chocolate.

Favorite Ice Cream: Ben & Jerry's Doonesberry Sorbet. Godiva Chocolate Raspberry Truffle.

Croutons Or Bacon Bits? Both.

Do You Like To Drive? I don't dislike it, but I don't drive much.

Do You Obey Traffic Laws? Of course.

Are You Often Agitated On The Road? Only when Lara drives. Or when I'm handcuffed to someone on a motorcycle. (...Simon...)

Number One Pet Peeve: Apathy in the face of need; bickering in the face of a challenge.

Do You Sleep With Stuffed Animals? Yes. Basil!

Who Is Your Favorite Poet? Neruda, and Keats.

Who Is Your Favorite Author? I'll need a separate sheet of paper... for now, Shakespeare, Tolkien (thank you, Simon!) and Kipling.

Do You Eat The Stems Of Broccoli? Why wouldn't I?

If You Could Have Any Job You Wanted, What Would It Be? I like my job. It's the rest of my life I have issues with.

If You Could Dye Your Hair Any Color, What Would It Be? Sense would intrude; I'd look odd with any other hair color.

If You Could Have A Tattoo, What And Where Would It Be? The kanji for "tamashii," at the small of my back. But I'd never get a tattoo.

Have You Ever Been In Love? ...I'll get back to you on that.

What Is On The Walls Of Your Bedroom? Well, I sleep on Holmes-sama's couch, so... Mostly shelves, with a lot of books and papers and ...stuff... on them. On the mantel, the nunchaku Erik made me, the sai Kate took from Scorpio, and the mask I knocked off Aquarius with a picnic table.

Is The Glass Half Empty Or Half Full? It's got stuff in it. What a question.

What Is Your Favorite Snapple? Rain.

Favorite Movies: Casablanca, The Last Unicorn, and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon--although really I like too many to pick favorites.

Are You Righty, Lefty, Or Ambidextrous? In combat I don't favor a hand. Otherwise I'm right-handed.

Do You Type With Your Fingers On The Right Keys? Usually.

What’s In Your Tape/CD Player Right Now? Simon and Garfunkel.

What’s Under Your Bed? Some books, some papers, the handgun that mugger dropped, and some killer dustbunnies.

What Is Your Favorite Number? Five.

What Is Your Dream Car? I'm not much for cars.

Favorite Sport To Watch: Martial arts and fencing.

Say One Nice Thing About The Person Who Sent This To You: Barbara seems remarkably normal and sane for this city. Plus, she's very good with a guitar.

Person You Are Sending This To Who Is Least Likely To Respond: Simon, Mr. "No Straight Answers."
