Although she
is a highly competent martial artist, capable of surprising feats through
her devotion to the art of Seisuru, Seishi dislikes thinking of herself as
more than an ordinary person. Until her arrival in Beacon Harbor through the
Infinity Portal, Sei had adventures only vicariously, through reading. Her
nearly constant efforts toward keeping the peace are a large part of the
force that holds the League, with its various hyper-independent members,
into something like a cohesive team. Seishi has a great love of music and
literature, and a code of honor that invariably gets her involved in messy
situations… as well as a decidedly sarcastic streak that’s apt to surface
when she’s in over her head. Which is often.
Seishi is: Patient with the guys.
Seishi likes: Harmony. (And kicking ass.)

Holmes: Seishi is a superior woman in every respect. I only worry
that her naturally affable demeanor will, in this terrible world, deliver
her into the hands of some unspeakable evil, and destroy her. It would be a
great loss. In a more prosaic way, she is in many ways my ideal room-mate.
Patient to a fault.
Kate: I think at some point in a past life, Sei-chan and I were
sisters. At least, if I'd had a sister, I'd have wanted her to be like
Seishi. She probably has her head screwed on the best of all of us.
Whisper: Cool, calm, and collected, very tough yet perceptive enough
and caring enough to remember and act on offhand comments. Possibly the most
beleaguered of us all, between dealing with Holmes and dealing with the rest
of us, but I've yet to see her lose her temper. I admire this. I could never
do it.
Constantine: Almost as sensible as Erik, and fun to look at, too. I
don't know how she manages to live with Holmes.
Kitty: If I were a few years younger, I'd call Seishi what I wanted
to be when I grew up. She manages, with her almighty powers of common sense,
to keep all of our various problems more or less in check almost
single-handed. Sometimes I worry about who's looking out for her while she's
looking out for the rest of us.
Pete Wisdom: A good lot of people have
this startling and clearly dangerous habit of underestimating Seishi. Maybe
it's because she's young, or because she's compassionate, or - in certain
extreme cases of idiocy - because she's a woman. I'm very, very glad she's
on my side, and desperately want to see her go Cuisinart.
Buffy: I don't know her all that well. A night at Blue Notes is
really all I have to go on. She's nice enough, quick with the whole banter
thing which is always a plus. I don't know what she can do, and I don't
think she approves of me--a few things in particular spring to mind.
Lara: While she is an excellent combatant and excels in the martial
arts, I think sometimes Seishi takes her own beauty and elegance for
granted. She tends to withdraw from the finer things in life, and hopefully
that's a habit we can break. She's one of two people I'd trust most at my
back when in a fix.
Indiana: One of those rare, reliable people who keep their cool when
the world's turned upside down. When it comes to a fight, she's poetry in
motion. It doesn't hurt that she's easy on the eyes. I can't help noticing
these things.
Simon: Delightful innocent Seishi. She seems to possess a purity of
purpose and life, and a honesty that is really quite endearing. We met
handcuffed on a roof and she hit me, quite hard. Things have been uphill
ever since.
