Fracod is a place in the philotic web (Orson Scott Card) dedicated to the active/interactive development, joy, and freedom of... LANGUAGE.
Fracod is Anglo-Saxon for "wicked." As a lot of people have been asking me what Anglo-Saxon is, well, look no further: it's just another name for Old English (obviously because of the Angles and the Saxons who lived in Britain ages ago). I prefer to say Anglo-Saxon because the language is, in my mind, more than merely the ancestor of English. Anyway, the Anglo-Saxon word for Anglo-Saxon is Englisc. As you'll notice, the theme of this site is in Anglo-Saxon. No, I don't know Anglo-Saxon, and I'm not really a student; this is my opportunity to learn while offering a glimpse to others. If you see some Anglo-Saxon words lying around here, try hovering your mouse over them. You might learn something.

What's happening

The Language Game project is underway. Sorry, the beta is not currently available.
I'm also working on a new project which involves the creation of recordings for text in whatever languages.
Okay, I decided to go ahead and put up a page I started on interactive resources, the library.
Now I am putting this link here for myself. If you are going to study the Comanche language or something, you probably shouldn't use it right now... But if you want a glimpse at the language, then by all means, click away.

What you can do

I personally enjoy creating interactive resources that can be used by others in turn. In doing so, I put in extra time and effort while making the process easier for those who will follow.
There is so much you can do without creating your own website or even putting in much extra time for others, not to mention yourself. For example, UniLang has several interactive sections where people can create exercises for themselves and others or translate pages directly into the network. At UniLang and other places such as Phrasebase, you can also do much more. Using these tools, we can explore the learning process and help each other out at simply the price of time.
