Oklahoma City, OK Calvary Baptist Church
This church has played an important part in the city's history. According to the National Park Service (which I found through Wikipedia), many of the lunch counter sit ins and other important parts of OKC's civil rights movement took place here; the Service points out that this was done at great risk to the church. The Downtown Oklahoma City website relates that Martin Luther King Jr interviewed for a job at this church, although it didn't offer him a position. Oklahoma County (2/2008)
